The #Dolphins and #Steelers have finalized a blockbuster trade to send All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey to Pittsburgh, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Ramsey’s adjusted contract includes a $1.5M raise in 2025 making his salary $26.6M this year. Pittsburgh loads up. pic.twitter.com/hmRehEf4zS — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) June 30, 2025
Isn’t that kind of a dumb move for the Steelers? Ramsey is pretty washed at this point and Fitzpatrick is a player
Its almost as if the Steelers are going to follow the Jet footprint and load up for a one season run. Maybe they think they're smarter than the Jet FO/CS was.
Just looking at their division I don't see them beating the Ravens. If the Bengals rebound, then the Steelers could be looking at 3rd in the AFCN.
they are discussing a TJ Watt trade too according to reports. I dont see how it makes any sense for a team, "all-in" with a 43 year old QB, to trade away the game's best pass rusher
Maybe the Steelers have the same intention for Ramsey as they did Fitzpatrick when they turned him into a safety. Unless they feel that good about their safeties that they are trying to bolster their backfield with Ramsey as a nickel back? It didn’t make sense when I first read it but they’re only a year apart and Fitzpatrick only has one interception in two years while Ramsey can probably be a dominant nickel back/joker defensive back like he was for the Rams with Slay & Porter Jr. manning the outside corner spots.
