It feels like they fired him for how they lost game 1 against the Pacers which forever altered the series & the season. It was one of those 'unforgiveable' losses how they blew that game. They had it in the bag. I guess they felt someone had to pay the price sadly it turned out to be the head coach. He made the Knicks relevant and highly competitive again. They sucked for so long before these past few seasons. He'll be extremely difficult to replace I have to believe. For much of this past season it felt as if the Knicks had made too many changes Randall, Hartenstein, Divencenzo in the end it kinda worked out for them. Now it's the head coach. I'm hearing they may get Giannis a true superstar still in his prime and a NBA champion. The odds of the changes working out for them aren't favorable but time will tell. Giannis would be a enormous get.
Man if the series was called like the game was last night. We would've won the series. So many ticky tack fouls. Shai with the push offs, flops, and other moves looks like Brunson but shouldn't be the league MVP
Early in the game like right at the start to me it looked like he threw a elbow at Nembhard's head. He could've easily been T'd up or possibly ejected(?) I didn't know much about this Thunder team before the Finals. How the Pacers are defending him full court press and his elbows and pushoffs he seems to have trouble shaking free of the defense that's not what I expect to see from a league MVP. So far I'm not too impressed with SGA. I've been more impressed with Chet Holmgrem and the other dude with the dreads I forget his name took some bad falls in the last game but got right up. He's one tough dude. It's been a good series so far between two new teams to or seldom seen in the Finals. It's a breath of fresh air.
Game 7. Pacers had to much fight to not take this to game 7 while OKC had to much immaturity to not make it easy.
Im going to go out on a limb here and say Indiana wins it. Might as well see this through. Indiana has the better coach and more mature team. OKC weaker coach and less mature but more talented. The pressure is on OKC here. Indiana has pressure but its more so house money and will play loosely.
Congrats to the Thunder. They caught a major break tonight with Haliburton going down. If not this game probably comes down to the final minute and pretty sure Indiana had great shot to win it.
