Opening Day Game will be a BIG ONE!!!!

How many plays will he get in before another part of him goes bad?

Will be kind of like the boom and bust of the Spinks Tyson fight.

Rodgers to hard to handle for the organization that hasnt tasted a Super Bowl in 50+ years but not hard to handle for the organization that has won 6 titles.

    Fitting

    Same Old Jets. Thanks Woody....

Ok watch how it works in Pittsburgh, an organization that wins consistently and has had success.

Yeah, the way the Steelers handled this was really impressive.

Sadly the Jets will still probably be paying him more this year.

Don't be misled by the title here - as of now such language is premature. We're talking about the flake known as Aaron Rodgers and regardless of how many NFL "insiders" say he is "to sign" until there actually is a signature on a contract don't bet the farm - he could still blow it up. He may have said he is going to sign but he also said he was "immunized."

? He was released, so there's no comp pick. They'll probably just get their asses beat.

Steelers December schedule is brutal. They play the Ravens twice, the Bills and Lions.

if Rodgers even makes it to December that’s when it will fall apart

It’s not a terrible move for them though, the Jets are stupidly paying him all his money, the Steelers need someone to QB, so they get Rodgers for cheap on a 1 year deal

that’s what the Jets shoulda done- waited for the Packers to cut him instead of trading everything away for him and paying him a ridiculous contract.

we will watch but the facts actually show the Steelers wanted Justin Fields first, and only pivoted to Rodgers when Fields chose the Jets

Yep they wanted him so bad that they benched him for Wilson.

You can't be seriously trying to push this idea still.

Woody wanted Rodgers gone so keep that in mind, you are supporting what the failed owner who consistently has made mistakes wanted to happen. It will backfire like it always does with Woody Johnson.

Fuck Woody and I'm not pushing anything. Multiple reputable NFL reporters (Fowler at ESPN, Kinkahabwala at CBS Sports) have already reported that the Steelers made a comparable offer to Fields before he signed with the Jets.

One of them reported the Jets offered year 2 guarantees and the Steelers didn't, so it wasn't exactly the same contract but nonetheless they wanted to retain him as their QB.

So if we are to believe the Steelers are geniuses with QBs, as you are, then we should at least acknowledge the Jets took their 1st choice and Rodgers was their plan B.

Woody is capable of wanting the right thing for the wrong reasons. He wanted Rodgers gone because of personal embarrassment, but Rodgers couldn't make half the throws on the field last season, caused infighting on the team with his lack of accountability and was a huge distraction. Him being gone is a good thing.

Disagree, I would place the blame on Saleh which we all knew was the biggest issue heading into last season.

With that said. It will be telling one way or the other on how it goes in Pittsburgh. If It turns into a mess there I will concede but if Pittsburgh wins or even over performs then the Jets organization is to blame for it not working out here.
