I guess the question is do you think another available starter on the market pushes you over the top or would you only be pushed over the top with a Cole-like starter.

I don’t like BR but this link provides at least some options to talk about; https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25189254-stock-stock-down-mlb-trade-candidates-2025-deadline

Castillo would be the guy to get but the Mariners are playing well. Alcantara seems like the only dominant type name to be available but he’s been garbage this year so idk. There’s no CC Sabathia Indians to Brewers available this year that I can tell.

Remember like 4 or 5 years ago the Yankees rolled out a lineup of 9 right handed hitters? It's pretty much why they traded for Galo.

Cashman said hold my beer, here's 5 lefties and 2 switch hitters.

I love when the Yanks and Mariners play. Could be nostalgia, but I stay up to watch the game on the west coast.

Am I in the minority that I just don't care about the Soto return? Guy was here one year. Seems small to care a lot.

I like fans booing a guy like that to the death for the rest of his career. The right field fans “turning their backs” on him was pretty gay though.

    Dominguez has pleased me.

I'm not really sold on switch hitters in today's game, and his fielding issues were concerning but I've been happy with his play

Rodon has quietly had a very nice season. That could be huge.

Really sucks that Cole and Gil are out. With the year Rodon and Fried are having and the variation of hitters in the lineup this is a really good team that’s fun to watch.

Team is looking really strong. Cashman needs to get a right handed infielder... I'd personally like another bullpen arm 7th or 8th inning guy.

Like JV said, the injuries to Cole and Gil really are unfortunate, but Rodon has stepped up big time and Fried is front runner for the Cy. I will also say I'm not totally sold on Gil.

Baseball is trending towards having more dominant players, less dominant teams and more middle of the road teams that stay in the race past the deadline.

More playoff teams = more teams staying in the race as long as possible past the deadline. 84 wins can get you invited to the dance sometimes. Name of the game is going to be beating up on bad teams and teams trending towards .500 records and playing middle of the road baseball against the division leaders.

Yankees have lost the series each time they have played a top 5 offense. It's become a trend. Their offense is not deep enough and the pen is not good enough to stop high powered offenses.

Red Sox trading Devers for nothing is quite the way to celebrate a sweep
