We have a development QB already but next year is the draft for QBs if Fields fails or the back up still isn't fit to see the field.

Well, with the pope dead, somebody had to take over the "infallible" position - might as well be Rogers.

I think to keep things in perspective those who are slamming this draft should dig out what they told us when Blair Thomas, Vernon Gholston and Zach Wilson got drafted.

Holy crap! Lost in all this draft talk and the Sanders soap opera, Do we know who this year's YAC King is and which team drafted him?

Not to mention Clyde Gates, Stephen Hill and the immortal Christian Hackenberg to name a few.

True indeed. And let us not forget the fat DL Robertson every self anointed expert rant about.

You're right that he didn't miss time because of a knee injury. Leading up to the drafts there were "reports" of a knee injury that apparently scared teams away.

You can look at it one of two ways. 1- "where there's smoke there's fire. It's too big of a risk" 2 - "He's too good of a player to fall below early 2nd round. You have to take a shot."

Oh yeah. I don’t get what teams can see on a medical for a knee with no injury history other than I guess bone on bone?

He’s too good IMO and definitely worth the risk.

I still think Robertson was the worst draft pick in Jets history GIVEN WHAT WE PAID TO GET HIM.
In 2003 GM Terry Boobway foolishly let our 2002 MVP Coles sign w Washington for only a first round tender. Then, he packaged THAT 1st rounder (Washington's), and our own 1st round pick, and our 4th round pick, all for short. "squat" DT Robertson, who had bad knees when drafted.
So he basically traded our team MVP from the previous year, AND our own first rounder, and our own 4th rounder, all for Robertson, who didn't do "squat" for the jets, pun intended. :D
