With Keith Carter out of the building, the OLine is already better. Factor in the departure of Hackett and the offense should and will look different. Perhaps even NFL calibre.

Absolutely.. But I look at Becton as the indicator of just how BAD Keith Carter was. It was a lousy system Carter tried to install. With Hackett calling predictable plays, it was a lock that the Jet OLine would suck. All of that has changed now.
This point should get so much more attention and praise. What a dog shit coach, you could literally see the dysfunction as a fan. Thank God we don't have to see that dumpster fire coach here anymore.
It's not that simple. Bad scheme and bad coaching can absolutely hinder players. We see it every year. We had one of the worst OL coaches I've seen. I'm grateful we have people in the building that seem like they get it. We will see soon.
This makes it the third first round pick used on OL the last four years. At some point we need to be something resembling good. We bailed on skill position yet again in a draft that doesn’t have many… hopefully this year is the year the hype over the OL we drafted comes to fruition.

I think this dudes the real deal. Played really well for 3 years in the SEC on a team with decent but not great talent on either side or behind him.

The value in skill position players is in the mid rounds of this draft with a lot of speed in round 3-5. It’s not at the top. I want to see them get two receivers if possible in the mid rounds.
Until we get another pass catcher I totally agree…however, that’s where Fields’ running ability should really help…I do think we are going to be a run heavy team
