God, Baty is so terrible. The classic AAAA player.

 

Mets pitching has been thumbs up! Mets offense has been thumbs down!

 

Love to see that Atlanta is 1-8 and could be 1-9 soon.

Also thank goodness they worked out a deal with Pete instead of hoping for the Vlad pipedream. That is already paying dividends!

 

The person outside of Toronto happiest about the Vlad signing was Pete Alonso. It was a very good day for him.

 

Diaz in a non save situation ended up as expected lol

 

So what was Diaz's excuse tonight? So far in his Mets career he has a 2.23 ERA in even-numbered years and a 4.82 ERA in odd-numbered years (when he doesn't miss the season entirely with an injury). I'm not feeling good about 2025 with him.

Thank goodness for the Polar Bear tonight. He is certainly doing a much better job with his "show me" year so far this year, compared to last year.

 

Mets are 4-for-51 this season with two outs and RISP. That is mind-bogglingly bad.

 

I hate that stupid ghost runner BS.

 

Yeah, I still totally forget about that stupid rule...

 

Happy to hear tonight that Keith, Ron, and Gary all agree - they think it shouldn't be used through the 12th inning, only commencing with the 13th. I could live with that.

 

The Mets need to replace Diaz sooner rather than later.
