Love to see that Atlanta is 1-8 and could be 1-9 soon. Also thank goodness they worked out a deal with Pete instead of hoping for the Vlad pipedream. That is already paying dividends!

So what was Diaz's excuse tonight? So far in his Mets career he has a 2.23 ERA in even-numbered years and a 4.82 ERA in odd-numbered years (when he doesn't miss the season entirely with an injury). I'm not feeling good about 2025 with him. Thank goodness for the Polar Bear tonight. He is certainly doing a much better job with his "show me" year so far this year, compared to last year.
