I am a no. It just has the potential to blow up badly, with the combination of the NY media and his father's personality. The Giants should steer clear too. If he is on the board at 7 the Jets should try to trade out.
He’s a great kid coming from great stock. But if he was just some other random kid I really don’t think his profile would be nearly this high.
Part of the burden of being an elite NFL QB is carrying his team. If he can’t carry his team, he’s not elite. If he’s not elite, he’s not a 1st round prospect.
Very few can be elite from day one, some of the best QB of all time were not even first round picks. If he’s developed properly he has a chance.
Well, that should be the path of Sanders because he’s not a 1st round value. He’s not elite. He might become elite, guys like Brady and Kurt Warner have obviously proven there’s a chance. But if I’m a team desperate for a QB, Sanders isn’t the guy I would want. If I have a QB that’s gonna give me a predicted solid 3 years of play, I’d consider drafting Sanders to sit behind that guy.
Sheuder has a terrible arm for NFL standards.. I can't tell you how many times I've watched this kid now fail to put enough mustard on the ball. How many times he failed to get it to the right spot... Absolutely not. This kid doesn't have a first round grade in my eyes at all. Then you throw in the extra circus element that comes with the pick because of his Daddy.. hell to the nah nah
