He looked great today, but I just have a feeling he will be a major bust and a terrible loss of money for whoever signs him. I think if we add more to the front seven--as the Pats have during their run--it will make our corners better.

Its going to cost us too much cash, we will only be spending big bucks on the offensive and defensive lines.

He's going to want some big bucks, I don't know if we're ready to give him that.

I'm starting to think that, in the 3-4, cornerbacks just aren't that valuable.

Ray Mickens actually looked pretty good today.

I think the D-line and the front 3 is more important for a successful 3-4. Cornerbacks are more important for Cover 2 defenses like the Colts and Broncos.

He is looking amazing. I would be surprised if the Patriots don't bring him back though. He was a HUGE part of their season and their playoff run.

Hobbes looked hot too. Who the heck is the Pats DB Cord? That guy needs a pay raise.

Well, it is the playoffs. It seems every CB does a good job on Harrison during the playoffs.

If it takes breaking the bank for him, I can not see this front office doing it. I do not think they operate that way or at the very least do not plan to. IMO

I will lend this to the theory of possible free agent bust...everytime he makes a sick ball-hawk interception its always because he has some sort of safety help over the top. New England gameplans around his strengths very very well, and if we do get him I think there's no doubt that Mangini will too. It's just that cushion that he leaves thats so narrow sometimes is only because he's aware of the fact he has deep help.

I've got one problem if he wears Green next year....he'll get a few dozen Interference calls that never seem to happen to the Pats. Look close at the jumps and he's slapping one of the WR's hands away before the ball gets there most of the time! No, this isn't sour grapes, just an observation.

some people see what they want to see. he's a good corner. excellent speed and coverage skills and very good against the run. what corner doesn't give up a long ball or hand fight a reciever now and then. he's better than anyone on the jets present roster.

I don't think we can afford him, well yes, we can, but we will not blow the bank on one player, when we have a lot of spots to fill. But someone like him creates pressure of QB's because he takes away the opponents go to guy. Would be great to have him but I don't see us paying his asking price.

How can you call a proven player a bust? I don't get it.

Samuel is a player...we would be lucky to have him.

uh thats usually why you call them "FA busts". because they were already "proven". "proven" in terms of having a good season (out of 3 or 4) in new englands defense. im sold!!
