It's funny: There has been plenty of individual moments far worse than anything this year has brought about. I just think that the compilation of my lifelong experiences as a Jets fan have just completely brought me to this point. This is rock bottom. Nothing fazes me anymore.
Wait till next year, you'll find a new bottom, because there is no bottom for this disgrace of a franchise.
Yeah wait till next year until woody hires a coach who makes ulbrich and Adam gase look like Vince Lombardi and both the offense and defense suck at the same time and we get blown out every game, just when you think the jets can’t stoop to a new low they show you otherwise
That's just it. The thought of those things don't even register an emotional response from me anymore.
If they don't faze you starting today, you've done yourself a favor. Invest in them again once they show they know who to win a football game. They have no idea how to win a football game that is not handed to them by the other team. The last time I felt the Jets went out and won the game, probably vs the pats at home when Fitzpatrick hit Decker in the end zone.
Geeezzz...been busy all day long and was going to catch it on my NFL+ Premium replay. Tried as hard as I could not to see the score and I'm glad I did. Thank goodness I didn't waste my time. This team is trash. All that talent. What a waste...
I agree it's my lowest too. I was there which made it even worse. I wish it didn't faze me. I'm out to dinner with my family and just want to curl up into a ball. I'm really questioning why I put myself thru this anymore.
The problem is worse than the Jets being losers, or even having the longest playoff drought in major American pro sports with no end in sight. It's that the organization is also so unlikable and hard to root for. The owner is a trust fund baby who embarrasses himself and everyone around him by behaving like a child. The GM hides himself away while scapegoating his coaches and players for his own failures. The QB is a 40 year old who thinks he's the GM but is as bad at GMing as the actual GM and very nepotistic. And as the icing on the cake, the owner and QB have controversial political views that they rub into our faces. (To be clear, I would have the same problem regardless of what the views are, e.g. with Kaepernick.) This isn't a team that deserves a fanbase, at this point we'd be better off if they just folded up and disappeared.
I haven't watched the last 3 games. I also unsubscribed from all Jet Youtube channels. I stayed on this forum, which I said I wouldn't do. Anyway, I feel great! I don't miss watching the Jets at all!
Thankfully I was golfing today in SWFL and didn't see this game. I'm done, I put in way too much time. Woody is a moron. Next year he will hire yet another 1st time head coach, let the GM waste more stupid picks on bad OL, screw up the draft, draft the wrong players, sign the wrong free agents etc. I am turning in my Jets fan card for a Red Zone fan card. After 23 yrs as a season ticket holder I guarantee I will NEVER ever set foot in Jets game ever again.
I stopped caring a few years ago. Nothing is going to change until we have a new ownership, which I don't see in the foreseeable future.
This is just another in a long series of lows. I have given up having any hope and literally just watch for the validation that I'm absolutely correct, and have been for YEARS, about being a darksider and expecting the absolute worst. My motto, other than of course "Same Old Jets", for a few years now has been " SOMETHING ALWAYS HAPPENS" in response to the absolutely crazies who always fall for the hype, give tons of reasons why things are headed in the right direction or, worst of all, tell me and others like me that we're too negative and not real fans. It has become almost like a mission to continue to expect and receive the failure. I can't remember the last time I truly enjoyed a football game with this team. I'm so jaded that I'm like a dog whose owner kicks him often and cringes when his owner walks by even for the times he doesn't get kicked. It's not enjoyable because I'm always waiting for SOMETHING TO HAPPEN, and it always does.. Always.
Feels pretty low because Rogers was a legend but we were 5 years too late to bring him in. It’s tough because we had two top 3 picks on QBs and they both didn’t work out. Just feels like we have tried everything. we have to do a full rebuild, build an OL and a run game and hope we can strike on a qb when the times right. Have to get back i to the trenches.
Looking forward to another week when, after 36 hours of residual bemoaning of the game, TGG posting is more about bad jokes, bad movies, bad music and bad fishing than about bad football.
The only good thing about being a Jets fan is you get to feel (and be) smarter than the people running an NFL franchise with only the most basic knowledge of the game
I truly believed that Zach Wilson was some kind of albatross and that simply removing him from the locker room would improve the morale of this team. It would seem that a healthy Aaron Rodgers in the absence of a pom-pom waiving Robert Saleh has sucked all of the oxygen out of the room. Despite his complete ineptitude on the offensive side of the ball it would seem that Saleh was most likely a good if not very good defensive coordinator. Jeff Ulbrich was defensive coordinator in name only (much like any defensive coordinator under mumbles with the Patriots) as Saleh was micro managing, coaching up his defensive players, and calling all of the schemes. I think Saleh was too permissive leaving his players soft but they loved the guy and the defensive guys just haven't been the same without him. This might be a good time to extend Garrett Wilson, Jermaine Johnson, Breece Hall and any other young player worth keeping as they would have been much more expensive to keep had we be winning. I think we need to bring in a new interim head coach and an interim defensive coordinator as we give Tyrod Taylor and some of the young players more playing time. Not sure we can bench Rodgers but we should have some plays designed for Taylor and give him a series here and there to keep opposing teams on their toes if we can't start him. Too bad we didn't sell more veterans before the trade deadline.
