You know how they say be careful what you wish for? Well I hated baldy more than anyone here, but ulbrich is Adam gase bad, Woody needs to fire ulbrich today, jets went from playing competitive football every game under saleh and losing by 7 or less to being blown out, he has spread cancer on this team and they have lost all their heart, they can’t tackle to save their lives under their newly defensive minded coach, whatever he is teaching this team is not working, he won’t be here next year anyways so why not start the process and fire him and make Middleton the head coach before the team totally forgets how to play football for next year?
Fire Ulbrich and let Middleton coach out the string. Ulbrich was highly overrated as the DC (it was clearly Saleh's abilities that made that unit what it was) and he's been an abject disaster as the head coach.
the crazy part is woody said that he loves how ulbrich coaches and the fire he brings before hiring him, this just shows that he has no clue what to look for in a coach his next hire and we are doomed
Ulbrich is showing that he's exactly who I thought he was after watching hard knocks: a caricature of a football coach. He has shown why he had no HC interviews after last season despite being the coordinator of a top tier defense. He doesn't know why the Jets aren't winning, doesn't know what to do about it, and wishes he could just sit in LB meetings and hurl profanity all day. He's incapable, probably of even being a really good coordinator without a HC's scheme and grotesque investment in defensive talent, and definitely of being an effective HC.

I can’t even as a fan come down on a single player (sauce, for instance), because this team is so ooorly coached, the players are only reflecting it.
He should have hired Rex. At the bare minimum, Rex would have had this team looking like it was passibly interested in playing a football game.
Fire Ulbrich and pay Bill Parcells an obscene amount of money to come in for 8 weeks of work. Give Parcells the mandate to examine this franchise from top to bottom and make any and all changes he sees fit. Basically, give him 8 weeks to perform a football exorcism on this franchise. If nothing else, it would be extremely entertaining to watch 83 year old Parcells yelling at these young, overpaid millionaires on the sideline.

Middleton, because the TE room has been so amazing? The reality is all of these fucks need to be gone. It's clear now Saleh was the least incompetent out of the group, but ... they all stink. So, Brick turned out way more awful than Saleh, who was also shit. But, we knew they all should have been gone in January anyway. Only Woody didn't.
I can't find the articles, but I remember when the Jets and Lions coaching staffs each coached at the Senior Bowl at the end of the 2021 season, there was praise for Saleh and his staff, about how organized they were, ran practices, etc. And by comparison, Dan Campbell's staff seemed like a mess. Funny how that all worked out.
Anyone with a brain and 9 days to prepare could of figured out the Arizona Cardinals were going to come out and run the ball down our throat, apparently Ulbrich couldn't figure this out and scheme for it.
