I would say yes but with your caveat that overrated does not mean bad. He's definitely not a bad player. The other piece is that pretty much all of their big players are underperforming so the coaching issues are probably a big piece of his performance. I wouldn't go trading him (though I'd be curious if Stiggers can play) and am curious how he'd look with a new regime next year
It’s hard to gauge things like this in a year like this…: players aren’t playing to their potential when there’s some disease going around the locker room.
He was overrated by every announcing team we got in the beginning of the season, calling him the best in the league. Although I think they stopped that after the Denver game for some reason.
Soft Gardner doesn't like to tackle, can't blitz and lately, his technique has been good for at least 1 PI a game. He's no longer the best DB in the game. Teams no longer fear "sauce".
The whole fucking team is overrated. Why should he play hard when no one else is? He has a chance to be a star if he stays healthy and goes elsewhere
Right now, I would take a bottle of Ragu over him. He was absolutely hideous in yesterday's game, getting taken to the woodshed by a couple of no name WR's. If those awful WR's at NE didn't drop every other pass, the Pats would have won by 21+
