Try to trade Reddick if you can. But whatever you do, don't sign him to a contract. Guy's not right in the head; if he comes back, he's going to suck.
I kind of agree with your take. If he thinks he can waltz in here for the last 6 games to leverage next years chances he is mistaken. If the defense continues to play solid from here on out I hardly think a guy that is out of football shape by nearly 6 months can be an immediate contributor. If his head was in the right place is one thing, but clearly it is not. The loss of JJ has hurt our flexibility a whole bunch unfortunately. If JJ was out there I would have already jettisoned his ass. But now, our only hope is to have a playoff contender in desperate need of a pass rusher. If not get the most out of him and kiss the third pick good bye. Let us hope we can recoup something, but his actions will make a trade at this point quite difficult.

All the Jets need from Reddick is to sack opposing QBs. That's the #1 reason he was brought here. The defense has been strong if he can make them even stronger I still want him here. If the Jets turn around their season, contend the AFC has Allen, Jackson, Herbert, Mahomes, Stroud etc. They'll need him. He can still help here. The only way this trade can ever make any sense for the Jets is for him to play here.
It gets worse for ole Haason: https://nypost.com/2024/10/12/us-ne...-1-6m-and-hired-goons-to-intimidate-him-suit/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As a fan of the Jets I feel insulted that he's refused to suit up whatever his reasons might be. On that basis the angry part of me wants the Jets to just hold onto him and not reward him by trading him. But the practical part of me says if the right offer came in, trade him. That said, I wouldn't give him away, it would have to be a decent offer because proven pass rushers don't grow on trees. If they don't get a good offer, then let him sit and lose an astonishing amount of money - and how about if the Jets set the money he's been fined and has forfeited to be used towards the offense?
But what team would want him? You guys keep saying trade him. To whomst? I know I know...the Raiders. Yeah...no.
His agent fired him. His family has said he won’t even take phone calls. His business partner is suing him for 1.6m and he sent goons after the guy to intimidate him. Hassan has gone from the opportunity to play out this yesr and ink his last big deal next year, to probably getting cut and getting a min contract deal to try out with a team next year. At the very best he’s gonna get offers of max one year with tons of incentives and clauses he must hit to get paid reasonably. But his trade value at this point is zero
That’s what I suspect. He’s ignoring millions of dollars. Money isn’t everything but that’s a lot to go radio silent on.
Well, he hasn't committed any crime AFAIK. Other than being criminally stupid. But seriously....getting fired by your agent is a huge red flag.
