I rather have that problem. I go to bed at 9 and wake up around 4. Kidding aside 8:15 pm start time is bad for East Coast and West Coast. Best is to be in Central Time. 7:15 pm start time for night games are ideal
Since the Jets are not getting their bye week following the London game, does that mean they hand picked the Bills for the next week? Makes me wonder why they'd do that.
I seriously HATE the international games bullshit as much as I HATE the Thursday Night bullshit…the NFL will talk about the “Integrity of the Game” but then make it utterly inequitable to make a team travel for a Thursday game, or travel to and back from oversees…it’s totally unfair to those teams I SO miss the days of just Sunday and Monday night games I know it’s like banging my head against the wall, but man it just sucks so bad And now with the random streaming shit and the differences in all those platforms it’s even harder to keep track… I used to get Sunday Ticket on DirecTV and then I wasn’t a huge fan of it last year on YouTube TV…my son says just pay $14.99/month for NFL+ and you can get all the games, including All22, you just can’t watch the games live unless they are the prime time ones…I’m thinking that may be the way to go for this year…I can go out enjoy my Sunday and just watch the full game later in the night…here in CA it’s not too late
Too right they are. You see Jets merch all over the place. According to YouGov, which is a widely respected British market research and data analytics firm whose survey results are often interpreted as fact, The New York Jets are the joint 4th most popular NFL team in the UK, behind Miami, NYG and Dallas. In this case 'popular' means the % of people expressing a positive opinion of the team when surveyed. So they are.
I don't think a team can handpick an opponent in that circumstance for any particular week however I'm pretty sure that since they declined the bye they may have been given the choice of playing MNF to give them an extra day recovery time.....
dont think so. plus soccer is already so popular globally, i dont think they need to to specifically play in the US to expand the brand
OK Donkey. Here is the list from our last Pub Crawl! Chandos Cross Keys The French House Dog & Duck Princess of Wales Holborn Whippet Ye Olde Mitre Jerusalem Tavern Viaduct Tavern Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Punch Tavern Ye Olde Watling I don't believe we made them all. I remember being poured into a cab to Mayfair after "Princess of Wales"?
I must be getting old. I much prefer the idea of good conversation with fellow Jets fans (something I never get the chance to enjoy, except for online) in one or two nice pubs, as opposed to trying to down a drink in 12 different places!
I think I will get to attend, I will know for sure once it gets closer. I was in London 2 years ago for the Elton John concert in Watford (I like EJ, my wife really wanted to see him in concert and it was cheaper to fly to London and see it then pay the ridiculous prices in DC), I missed a lot so would love to get back there.
All I remember is that Green Bay hand picked us after playing in London and it didn't work out for them. I wasn't sure if they changed that rule or what the deal is. I can't find any references to it anymore.
I’ll be going even if I don’t get a ticket from the official outlet, I’ll get a spare off someone on the day or buy one off a tout… so definitely up for meeting up with as many people as possible the evening before for drinks, food and Jets talk.
Any of our international friends know when the tickets usually go on sale for these events? I signed up for alerts but nothing yet.
I’ve heard that Tottenham usually start to sell around mid June. There are sites already claiming to have tickets to sell, at inflated prices, and the Jets are offering eye-watering packages already if you have a few thousand to spare…
I may try to buy two tickets if I get the chance - then I can either sell it on to someone here who isn’t successful, or sell it on the day.
