Yah…I was out and about so haven’t been able to watch…just catching up. A few thoughts from the high level - I don’t really understand trading back in the 4th…I’d have gone the other way and used those 5th and 6th rounders to trade up but I don’t know the players enough to say for who, other than I would have liked to see another OL, another WR, then a S and a DT…but again there may not have been any worth anything I don’t know - I do like getting a power back, and I like getting him from Wisconsin…I do think this was a hole for us and hopefully this Allen kid pans out - not sure I understand double dipping at RB - not thrilled with the dreaded “developmental QB” as I think we have more than proven that we simply have no clue how to develop a QB no matter what round we draft him in, so this feels like a throwaway pick already, but we’ll see - I think we got fleeced in the trade down with GB for only a 6th, and I think we got fleeced in the JFM trade for a future 6th…those seem like very low return to me. I get JFM can be a penalty machine and has a big contract, but just feels like a starting caliber DE who can play inside too should be worth more than a future 6th Overall, I loved going OT in the first, I like getting a receiver next…hope he can do more than just run a short slant in over the middle or catch a bubble screen, but overall I do like getting a receiver with good YAC ability, I do like getting a power RB…we’ll see how it all pans out but so far I’ve liked days 1 and 2 much better than what I’ve seen in day 3
I check back in after the kids out of the house nap and see a lot of initially questionable moves. Travis over Pratt? Another RB? Stiggers? I'd have at least preferred one of those names to be a Johnny Wilson flyer or even Rice's kid
I think it's a mixed bag. Stiggers is a wildcard, Travis is low risk high reward but low probability of working out, but we may enter the season with the best RB room in the league.
Pratt is still on the board and we’re about to be in the 7th round. Maybe the hype was totally unfounded. And I’ll admit I got sweeped up in it
is there now any doubt left why Belichick recognized that about Woody 25 years ago and got the F outa here?
Not sure I get all the Pratt love Watching highlights of Pratt gives me flashbacks of floaters from Trevor Siemian.
7th round, countdown to Mr Irrelevant. Almost time for Woody's Big Tweet! I think the icing on the turd sundae would be if Woody actually chose the player.
Taking two Safeties with your first two picks should be grounds for immediate termination. Doing that while passing over Mahomes (and Watson) is a special kind stupid.
Leave Mel alone man. He’s a marketing hack at this point but he also made the draft what it is today. I’d rather listen to him than Riddick, Booger or 90% of these guys.
I can’t believe you guys have survived watching this show on ESPN for the last three days. Never once considered anything other than NFL network and Twitter.
Beli would take the Jets job in a heartbeat now... no team is bowing to King Beli.. they all know it was way more about Brady. Do I want him back??? Hell NO!!!!!
You take a shot late with a guy that performed in the CFL... maybe not a starter but I'll bet he will be a damn good back up and ST guy
Pratt finally went to the Packers where he has virtually no shot of panning out as anything more than a backup.
We're rapidly approaching the point in the draft where there are like seven or eight guys who are still undrafted who I think could make our opening day roster ... and I know the Jets will sign zero of them as undrafted free agents.
