Confusion ? must be a trick thought up by JD and Saleh lol Actually it makes no sense but what does ? Maybe 25 % of JD draft is logical
I disagree. I don't care who they took in the 5th round. IMO just with Fashanu and Corley, this draft was a solid A, maybe A+, add in Braelon Allen, and it's definitely a HR draft. If we get anything from Travis or the the Davis kid (RB), it's gravy. Also, I and several others thought that the Jets needed to make this draft all about the offense, and they did, or at least have so far, and that's what counts. They may take a DB or two in the last two rounds for STs, and if so, that's fine. There are a few players I can't believe haven't been drafted yet: Christian Mahogany (OG) who looked great at the Sr. Bowl, Brenden Rice (WR) Jerry's son, and I think Jermaine Burton WR
Not sure I get a 2nd RB today but maybe there is something wrong with Izzy. This looks like it will be a VERY balanced offense this year. No need for Bowers with this approach.. GB never really made the TE a key part of their offense over Rodgers time there, that position while productive was more to surprise teams. The WR pick makes a lot of sense. I don't mind a dev QB that led Florida State to 11-0... way better choice that the hackenburg pick.
Yes, I said several times that I thought the Jets needed to added a power RB to give our offense another dimension and to keep Breece fresh. Izzy didn't do shit, but I read that was because he couldn't pass protect. Perhaps not, but he can sure run the ball. The Jets could have used his speed.
It won’t average an A when it’s done ..just my feeling. I posted we dropped down from those 2 you mentioned . Maybe I am a bit too harsh and there’s a method to all these mad selections
Stiggers really? He has a grade of 39 on the espn app--I guess the Jets FO still believe they're smarter than the average bear. Somehow he's a better pick up then guys like Rice and Mahogany
I'm sure that they have a plan and there's a method to the madness. Whether that plan or method works out is another matter. The whole draft is a crap shoot, but especially from the 4th round on. They addressed their biggest needs in a very significant fashion. All three of their first 3 picks could be big contributors on offense this year. What happens with 5th-7th round picks is insignificant imo.
I think the selections have been just fine, especially when you factor In round/value. Two RB In the later rounds just gives you a better shot at hitting If anything, they are both powerful backs, that will bring an element to this offense we've lacked for awhile. I like this draft a lot actually.
I’m a bit surprised with the double RB selection but looks like we are going to run and pound the rock a lot. Overall I’m quite happy. I’m hoping to see a few undrafted OL and DT and strike with one or two jewels.
OK thanks. I didn't recall seeing his name, but would have been shocked if he hadn't been drafted. Maybe we can get Mahogany and Brenden Rice as UDFAs. That would be awesome!
The Jets FO always think they know better than everyone else yet all the evidence always shows they know less--it's a joke--j-e-s-t
They broke the offensive string with the pick of Qwantez Stiggers, but I really like the pick. He has a ton of talent and it's a great story. I hope the kid makes it and improves and becomes a key backup, and who knows, maybe he could wind up becoming the #2 CB in a year or two.
