I'm not going to pretend I know which of the tackles left were the best prospect but I applaud the decision to go OL

It hurts. I’m not gonna hate on Fashanu but I’m gonna be so pissed when the Raiders eat us up with Bowers

I was terrified that after no picks were made on defense that we were gonna go the dreaded BPA route and brag about value.

Stupidity. We badly need to sign Tyler Boyd (which is a depressing sentence) or someone because right now we have two competent healthy pass catchers on the roster. But at least Rodgers will have time to throw with our new stud LT…….. oh wait he won’t be playing.

If this was any other year I’d be thrilled.

Smart pick for the Jets. I like Bowers - I think he's gonna be good. But the smart pick for this team, this year, is to rebuild this offensive line.

Good. Alt had gone and Fashanu was the next best OL fit for us.

Also traded back one spot and flipped the 6th rounder for a 4th & 5th. He resisted the 'win now' temptation of taking the TE that was touted in the mocks.

This is as good as JD could have done.

It's nearly 3am here and I can get some sleep now

I thought they would get the edge rusher since no defensive players were picked in the top 10. The Jets haven't had a pure edge rusher since Abraham.

Yeah it would've been nice if the Jets had drafted the #1 rated defender in the draft at #11.

There were websites pre-draft comparing him to D'Brickashaw Ferguson. If that's the caliber guy we have after a year or two of development, literally no one can complain.

Sets us up for 2025 when we would no longer have our starting tackles.

Rodgers (who was surely involved in conversations the front office was having about this pick) said to play Fashanu at guard this year. If that can work, I'll feel better about the pick. Now to get a pass-catcher...

I get the OT pick. I'm not complaining about it.

Just questioning the logic of taking a 'developmental' (as Mel Kiper called it on the telecast) OT instead of the QB as one of the posters here wanted the Jets to do. Forgive me his name escapes me at this time.

This kid is our new D’Brickashaw. He’s gonna be a mainstay for the next decade. We went from being an injury away from looking like we did last year at OT to now having the best backup behind 2 extremely good players. Hell, he might beat out Moses outright.
