the silver lining ... he's our only offseason addition that isn't an injury risk. guy has not missed a game in his career.

my favorite move of the off season so far. we most likely trade back and recoup a second rounder. we could still get a top talented WR in the late teens early 20's

What? They love McDonald. Love this trade. Maybe time for you to root for another team.

The other silver lining is that he’s in elite pass rusher. I know that’s very minor when there are things to complain about such as turning 30 but…

I was too. Again the trade from a football perspective is an absolute home run. Asset management is where there are some legitimate questions.

Exactly what we expected - loading up, trading some of the future with an eye on winning now.

I'd love to see some of this offseason success translate into wins for once.

For 2024, Reddick is set to make a base salary of $14.25 million and has a $21.8 million cap. Why not just have signed Huff? Its not a terrible move, infact its a really good one for this year, but again, giving away draft capital that we didn't have to if we signed our own home grown talent... SMH.

I'm digging this move......unless we draft an edge at 10. ;)

I'm honestly kind of torn I would love a trade up to 5 or a trade back its a win win for me. I hated most of the offseason moves as everyone has a injury history. I hated Rodgers on the packers and all the trade drama. after a few weeks I fell in love so much so that I got season tickets. I was heartbroken after the injury that I left at halftime and never went back. now I'm on the fence of getting my hopes up as I will inevitably get crushed but what else is there to do as a Jet fan.

I don’t think they wanted to go as high with the money for Huff, he was a PT pass rush specialist here

I’ve received comments like this on all of these big offseason moves for guys on the downslope of their career from Leveon Bell to Trumaine Johnson to Corey Davis and everyone after and in between.

The NFL is very much about getting players to outperform their contract and or draft pick compensation. It’s very unlikely that Reddick will do that. Let’s see what the contract looks like that will likely have larger guaranteed salary kicked to 2025 and 2026 and cripples us after this “all-in” bullshit.

    It’s simply bad team building.

This surely means that we'll be drafting an edge rusher at 10. If there's anything Douglas likes to do more than wait forever to address the O-line, it's draft players at positions that are easily our best position group while ignoring other obvious areas of need on the other side of the ball.

I'm starting to believe huff leaving had very little to do with us. I might be completely wrong.

You see no difference between an elite player and Corey Davis, Trumaine Johnson and a guy that was out of football for a year?

even asset wise, this is a solid deal.

either the jets extend him and have a near prime, very good pass rusher for 2-3 years or he leaves next year and we still get a comp pick for him in 2026

You in particular have celebrated pretty much all of them, so do you see much of a difference?

What are the chances we get multiple “elite” years out of Reddick?
