I disagree, neither Ra, nor Aiyuk can be considered "great." Even Deebo as "great" is a stretch. He's very good, but neither he nor any of the others you called "great" are on the same level as Jefferson, Adams, Chase, Adams, G. Wilson, and a small number of others.

Considering the Chargers lost both of their top receivers to free agency this off-season, I find it hard to believe they would pass on Harrison if he's there at 5. That said, I don't think I would give up premium draft capital to get him when there are so many good receivers at the top of the draft. If he falls to 5, then there's a very good likelihood one of the other two guys falls to us at 10. I realize he's a generational talent, but we're better served not giving up those draft picks and taking one of the other generational talents even if they're not as good.

Amon Ra was top 5 in almost every receiving statistic last year and top 3 in most. He was better last year than all the WRs you mentioned. If he isnt "great" then either you know nothing about ball or you have a completely unattainable definition of great.

Stay put and take Bowers at 10. He's a generational prospect too and wouldn't need to give up any draft capital to get him as long as he's still there at our pick.

I would say that he had a great season. Let's see if he can sustain it. IMO to be considered "great" one has to have multiple seasons with similar production. I just looked him up. He's certainly getting near that label. I was unaware that he had 3 such good seasons since he was drafted. I wasn't that high on him coming out of college. After seeing his stats, I'd say that I was wrong, and that he is great, but I still don't see the others as "great."

Sorry that you took my disagreement so personally.

I don’t think he took your disagreement personally, you were just wrong. Pointing out your wrongness isn’t personal.

Weird, I don’t see any all-pro accolades next to any of their names.

Yes, I was wrong. Pointing out one's wrongness isn't personal unless it contains a comment like, "You know nothing about ball." We'll have to agree to disagree on that.

Nothing personal, apologies if it was portrayed that way. I just really like the player and took offense. Probably doesn't help he's been on my fantasy teams...

OK, thanks. The apology is not necessary, but appreciated. I was OK, even if it was meant that way, as I thought our exchanges had always been positive and respectful. All's good here.

I'm not against drafting MHJ, but I think OT is a higher priority for this team.

For one thing, Wilson has never been an all-pro. He's never even made the pro bowl. I'm not saying he's bad, he's obviously very good, but you're overrating Wilson and simultaneously underrating a lot of other receiver rooms.

And our WR room was so bad because everyone other than Wilson would be a 4th receiver on most teams.

It's also illogical semantics to exclude TEs. Sure, they're not "technically" WRs, but the best ones are basically WRs in every practical sense.

It is not "illogical semantics" when the assertion that started the entire conversation was that we must trade up for a wide receiver (not a pass catcher, not a TE).
