There was a time during the season when I was ready for pound the table for Rattler as @Jonathan_Vilma can attest to. Then I kinda soured on him a little bit. I get why he was broken down and built back up again in college. But he goes down to the Senior Bowl, he's consistently one of the best performers all week. And he was the best QB in yesterday's game going 4-4 with a pretty TD pass to earn MVP Honors

guys South Carolina had shit for an OL and their coordinator is the same troll (Loggains) that Gase hired here as coordinator. I truly believe they wouldn't have won any games without Rattler.

They are saying Rattler could fall somewhere between late 2nd and early 4th rounds. I would like to see the Jets take him in there. He could be the type to be a better NFL QB than college QB

    Rattler's 2023 highlights:

-- quickest release i've seen in years

Yes you did. He also withstood the heat against Georgia in the pouring rain and kept them competitive even though the stats don’t look pretty.

I have been pounding the table for Rattler. I would trade up into the second for him if he's our guy.

I'm in South Carolina and watched this kid for the past 2 seasons. He's a great prospect who's had very little to work with here, as mentioned above. Rattler would be the perfect guy to sit behind Rogers for a couple seasons and learn the NFL game. The Jets would have to roster 3 QBs though, as I wouldn't want him thrown in the fire prematurely.

Odd coincidence fact/stat I saw today:

The last 3 QBs to win the MVP in Senior Bowl all got drafted by the Giants.

So sorry @BrowningNagle, he's going to New York alright, just not to the Jets :p

    That's not accurate.

They drafted 2 in a row with Davis Webb ('17) and Jones ('19), but there have been 3 QB MVPs since then drafted by other teams.

Yeah, I kinda fudged that up. Justin Herbert won and obviously didn't go to the Giants.....

Giants, however, did draft 3 Senior Bowl MVP QBs in a row though. In between Webb and Jones they drafted Kyle Lauletta.

I honestly wouldn’t hate spending a mid-round pick on Rattler. My biggest problem is attitude. When he was benched at OU he absolutely deserved it, but nobody questioned his talent. It was the sulking and whining that rightfully earned him all the scorn. USC was a good landing spot for him to recover. Not a stellar support staff, but he had a handful of lights-out games that showed he still had value. If he worked out all the puss, I’m game.

But really, he feels the pocket, sees the field really well, fiery, quick release...

And he did it with no oline and Dowell Loggains as his offensive coordinator.
He needs to sit for a year or two, but in the right environment, he could have a great future.
