Since you bought this franchise, it has been for the most part, a loser but lucky for you, Jet Fans die hard. Guess what Woody, you're a season away from killing this franchise at most. Time to hand over the day to day job to a real football person instead of 1st time GM's trying to do a VP of Football Ops level work. It hasn't worked so far and it never will as long as you meddle. Point being, either blow it up and for the first time during your miserable stewardship, do the right thing and hire a VP of Football Ops. Make sure he's a real NFL guy with real NFL experience too. Nothing will change until is Woody is sufficiently embarrassed around his family and rich friends. Bags on heads, billboards, banners flown over the stadium, talk radio describing him as the worst owner in sports <---- those are the things that will actually get a new GM and coach (I wish it would get us a new owner).
I know I'm a year ahead of everybody on directly acknowledging this, but bringing in Aaron Rodgers was already the equivalency of Woody blowing the team up. Regardless what we do this upcoming offseason the immediate road is already set in stone. 2024 is a punt. We have one more year of delusional "pffft the team doesn't need good offensive coaching with a 41yo former MVP at QB behind what will still end up being a worse oline then any he ever had in GB" " logic ruling the day before we have any chance of healing up from all the bad.
Tracy Wolfson just reported that Rodgers thinks he can play 2 maybe 3 more seasons now that he’s with the Jets. LOL.
Given how Rodgers is with the media, that probably translates into he's retiring after the season is over.
I been saying this was the case from the start. People thinking it was gonna be any different and that the jets would be potentially drafting QB were kidding themselves more then they were with the superbowl talk in the offseason. Now whether he'll be wanting to play here *HERE* for 2-3 more years....entirely different story lol. Anybody who can't close their eyes and play out a picture perfect scene of Rodgers sitting on McAfree a little over a year from now talking about needing to distance himself from the negative energy in NY isn't actually trying lol
I would personally like to thank Woody, Joe, and Bob for the top flight, high powered offense they have assembled. Truly astonishing how much you can accomplish in 3-5 seasons. Outstanding!
It doesn't matter if he blows it up. It'll be the same result with a different cast. We're nowhere near the end of this playoff draught.
