Just came to start a thread for this. The Jets have now put the final nail in the coffin of being an absolute joke.
At 4–8, scoring no touchdowns with anyone you put in there, including Zach Wilson, it's not about best chance to win anymore. At some point your franchise has to have integrity, has to put the franchise and the players first. After constantly benching him, then bringing him back, teammates clearly not on his side - last year it was T-shirts with the backup's name, this year it's leaks to the press about him and his desire to continue to play for the team - you can't go back to him even if he arguably gives you the best chance to win. Or rather with the state of this team, the best chance not to lose. Absolutely disgusting, everyone needs to go.
It's funny how falling apart on the field, not scoring touchdowns, all of the stupid quarterback stuff, I laugh at all of that and rationalize it logically. This...this has me furious, ready to burn everything green that I can find in my house (and at Christmas time that means just about everything) and just scream as loud as I can about the fact that we are saddled with this owner, and this will probably happen again. It has happened many times before. Just so fucking discouraging.
I guess my simple question would be that I just watched a clip of a press conference yesterday where Saleh said Wilson assured him he was more than willing to play but that I (Saleh) "am just not there yet" I believe was his exact quote. So what got him there now all of a sudden? What a mess.
Oh, you can be sure of it and it’ll cost us Marvin Harrison or Joe Alt. This is a lost season so let Trevor take a beating. I’m not sure what the organization has to gain from playing Zach.
He had to make a decision today. Guess he figured he hadn't lost everyone in the lockerroom yet, may as well shoot for the perfect record.
