Well fuck the bills obviously, but why not call false start on that play? The center blinks and they call it.
Jalen Hurts is something. Cool as ice... great leader... great physical skills... and smart as fuck. He's become my favorite NFL QB.
The only thing that scares me is if the Bills are smart enough to fire McDermott and get Belichick. McDermott is an awful head coach. All the talent in the world the last 3 years and basically nothing to show for except a playoff win against a Dolphins team with a backup QB.
I don’t know about 95% as I was right with you on keeping Darnold, and taking SFs three first round picks (that Miami gladly took). We blew all that draft capital and the misery of 2020 on Wilson instead. But sticking with him for 3 years no competition is even more baffling.
it was great to watch them fall apart like that. I get so sick of watching Josh Allen crying for penalties
Been saying it for 2 years now about McDermott and Beane. They have a disaster on their hands for their cap. Diggs, Von Miller, and Dawson Knox have massive cap hits/dead cap hits. Their OL sucks and their D is aging. I got into a pretty big back and forth with Greg and Bills Over Jets over the summer about McD and Beane both sucking ass. Now everyone wants McD on the hot seat. Amazing.
McDermott is an idiot. Save your timeouts and try to score at the end there. There is no need to try to ice the kicker when its 60 yards in the rain. If he makes it you tip your cap, and use the timeout and the 20 seconds to try to get your own field goal to win it. Instead he takes a knee
They’re $42 million over the cap for 2024 per Spotrac too. I didn’t think Knox’s contract was that bad at first but it’s really horrendous for the equivalent of a backup tightend. They’ll restructure some guys and all but they don’t really have any easy cut to free up cap space. The Von Miller deal is also awful. What a miscalculation that he was the guy to get them over the top.
Big miss on Von Miller. Do you know how his cap hits would work if he straight up retired this year? Is it $32 million in 2024 + the $15 million dead money for the potential out after 2024 or is it dead money for all those years 25-26-27? @Borat is normally spot on with his cap stuff, so maybe he knows.
Buffalo's window is closed. Several guys washed up on that defense, as you mention Von Miller but also Micah Hyde is washed up too. Hyde & Poyer used to be a formidable duo but they are both declining. The QB finally has his head screwed on right, with a washed up defense. Knowing that, instead of trying to win it with that QB Sean McDermott takes a knee hahaha
Yep. I was team Fields at the time. Although, I'm pretty sure we'd have screwed him up, had we taken him. Still, imagine him with Garrett and Breece...
I think Chicago moves on from Fields and he picks the right team with the right coach to go sit behind for a couple years and has a decently successful second wind of his career. He needs to fix his throwing motion and shorten it a ton, but the physical skills are just too good to not have a chance at being a good player.
