For My 3,000th post, here is what NEEDS to happen for this team... Chad needs to give in and take the 4-5 million dollars off his salary to HELP THE TEAM Kevin needs to do the same thing, the Jets are a TEAM damnit, not 40 or 50 something indivisuals Curtis needs to take less money also, because the Jets can't keep this 26 million over the cap situation going the way it is... The 2 players who dissed Chad need to come out and apologize and have faith in their leader Vilma needs to make a statement in front of the media to help motivate this team! Law needs to shut his mouth and leave New York Mangini needs to have a brilliant draft Wayne should make a statement to the team about how you play AS A TEAM, and that you should play for the love of football, and getting a SB ring....not money Abe needs to accept a rather cheap long term deal so the Jets can sign more players to help the TEAM If ANYBODY does something good for this team like one of the listed things above, maybe others will start to do give in also, and we can have a chain of good events happen for the TEAM that is THE NEW YORK JETS
outside of wanye and mangini, the rest ain't gonna happen. so, we need to rebuild this yaer and clear the cap for future years, clean house! the steelers do not overpay guys and have let guys walk in the past. hasn't kept them out of playoffs or super bowl , has it?

And honestly, I don't see Chad as the leader of this team anymore. Apparently there are at least two guys of offense who agree with me.
Why should Abe be the sacrificial lamb? Others padded their wallets and bank accounts (Ellis,Robertson,Pennington,Chrebet,Martin) But Abe is the bad guy now that he wants his payday? I think not.Its all about the money Abe.
The guy is a douche bag and he wants way too much money... Maybe, he'd have his deal if he would've played in the playoffs last year. I'm pretty sure he was healthy enough to play against the Steelers. But instead of playing for and helping his team, he sat on the bench.

They all deserved their money for THAT season. It's all different NOW: Chrebet is gone, Robertson has bad knees, Ellis had a down year, and Mawae is old and hurting, but Pennington cannot stay healthy. Pennington hasn't lived up to his contract, so he should take his pay cut/be released. Mawae is getting older and obviously the new coaches are trying to build a younger team, he should take his pay cut, but he isn't going to, so he's probably gone, along with most of our older o-linemen. The Jets can't really do anything with D-Rob, maybe his knees will last a couple more seasons, but if he can't perform next season, he'll probably be gone too. Ellis deserves his money, he's played great during every season except this one. He was injured this year, but his stat weren't great before that either. Ellis just had an "off year". He's young and he's played great in the past...I think he can continue playing great in the future. Ty Law "earned" his money, we just can't afford him, just like we can't afford a washed-up quarterback that throws like a 6 year old girl.

nobody deserves HUGE bucks on this team right now..we don't have a single for sure "going to the pro-bowl" player.... ok maybe Vilma..and do you see him complaining?...exactly
