Im surprised i havent heard anyone bring this up yet

Ravens | J. Lewis set to hit free-agent market
    Mon, 15 Jan 2007 08:06:14 -0800

David Ginsberg, of the Associated Press, reports Baltimore Ravens RB Jamal Lewis is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason.

seems like the perfect guy for the power/speed tandem were looking for

There is a reason the Ravens are releasing him. He has been awful the past few years and he is not the kind of player Mangini would want on this team.

Jamal Lewis isnt the same as he once was not even close.

good points but i still think hes a tough SOB who still ran for 1200 yds and 9 tds this season and i believe he was injured the year before.

Definite pass. Not the kind of player this team needs.

Weren't the Ravens the team with the 2nd worst yards per carry average this season after the Jets? I could be wrong about this... I though I heard an announcer say it somewhere along the line and don't have time to check up on it... but if its accurate, then that should be all there is to this thread... NO.

If he can't run behind the Ravens offensive line, I really dought he could run behind ours.

hes become soft. A few years ago he ran like a horse. Now hes hesitant to hit the hole or lower his shoulder. We got Barlow to do that already

unless he plans to be our back up running back which i know he wont we dont need him here. the year that we strongly pursued him and he went back to the ravens showed he had no desire to be here. so lets draft our own new fresh out the box running back where he could make his name here and not have to live up to his old hype.

 Seriously...unless we've completely misjudged the regime...Lewis is a POS both on and off the field...

    Let's draft Webster!
