As much as Saleh likes to talk the all gas, no brake bs, his natural instincts tell him to play it safe. For instance, his D scheme is rather rigid, except for his continual substitution thing. For example, he won't let his best players cover opponents best players, even if might make life more difficult for opponents. Whereas some coaches, the more aggressive ones, tend to scheme moreso for individual opponents. More challenging, lots more work... much easier to just keep doing the same thing, with minor tweaks. As HC, it would be helpful if he'd get more involved with the O, then he might begin to understand that an aggressive O philosophy helps his D be better... & would likely win more games than focusing on limiting mistakes. I see a lot of Herm Edwards in Saleh, & anyone who knows me from ye olde Jets Newsgroup, I wasn't a fan of Hermball .
Plus we are 1-3 now. If they don't take some chances now to try to win it won't matter in a couple of weeks.
Yup, pretty sure the Chiefs defender that's crouched down in the pic was the deep safety on that side too and 38 was the guy lined up against GW pre-snap. As I said in the breakdown, worst case we probably get a 40-50 yard FG attempt as time expires on the half, best case scenario it's a house call for GW. Tough one for Zach.

It looked like Zach went inside while GW went outside. Not sure what the design was. Could have been that GW was already improvising while Zach stuck to the play called to get into the FG range then call quick timeout for a FG.
Have someone pulling up the All-22 of that throw. Will have it shortly. It's been driving me nuts. Looks like a foot race with the backside safety on the bottom in the top clip. If he doesn't clutch he probably hits the throw from the bottom clip
From what I can see here it looks like he double clutched because the DL moved into his throwing lane and he waited for him to clear. I could be wrong though.
