This here is my concern. I'm a bit of a worry wart but here we are with Wilson, even though it wasn't good enough to actually win the game, finally gets a little sniff of confidence and momentum and immediately has to go on one of the worse road trips possible for QBs to Denver. And as Vilma pointed out in one of his posts Zach Wilson hasn't exactly owned road games thus far in his career.

Hopefully Aaron Rodgers can get him into a dark room or two this week to mentally prepare.

Any playoff push starts with a win this week. They have to be 2-3 going into the Philly game. Look at the AFC. Chiefs, Bills, Dolphins, Ravens all 3-1. Plus, you have a bunch of teams at 2-2. They Jets can't fall to 1-4 as that might be too tough of a hole to climb out of. They still have the Eagles, Dolphins (twice), at Buffalo and at NE who they never beat. This is a game they should win vs Denver.

Just to extrapolate this idea into season-long numbers for those who voted "No" on the poll, if Zach Wilson throws for 250 per game and a 2/1 TD/INT ratio from this point on, his end of year stats would be:

3,962 passing yards, 30 TDs, and 17 INTs.

Those stats would've had him 10th in yards last year, tied for 4th in TDs, but also lead the league in INTs lol

Some additional perspective, these stats would give him the 2nd most passing yards ever by a Jets QB (45 yards shy of Namath for 1st), and the 2nd most TDs ever thrown by a Jets QB (1 shy of Fitzmagic's 31 in 2015).

Obviously it's a massive "if" and no one should expect Zach to do this but if he does, I feel very confident in saying that I think we definitely make the playoffs.

He played well, and I hope that was a sign that the light switch turned on..... but he has track record to erase before we're ready to start the bi-polar parade

Perhaps a nit, but he didn't throw a pick against KC, it was a fumble.

I'm just glad the other polar version showed up. Things were starting to look hopeless.

All the league and franchise records keep getting skewed as they add games though. Something to keep in mind.

You can usually overcome interceptions if you’re throwing touchdowns.

Yah…I get not the point of the post, but to me, I always hate the comparisons on passing records…like the one they showed on our game with Mahomes being quickest to 200 TDs or something like that…all these types of records are bullshit because (a) we now have 17 games compared to 16 for a long time and 14 before that…so 1,000 yards rushing doesn’t mean nearly what it used to, and (b) the rules are just SO different…Namath was playing a totally different game than we play today…pass interference, roughing the passer, no contact after 5 yards, defenseless receiver rules, all these rules mean the game is not even the same game as when Namath and Bradshaw and Staubach and Starr and Montana and Marino and Elway were playing. If any of those guys were playing today’s game, their records and stats would be so different…just like Mahomes or Brady or Manning, while still great, wouldn’t have the records they have today if they were playing in the 1960s and 1970s and into the 1980s…it’s just a different game

Anyway…just a side rant…sorry to interupt the flow of the thread!

    I never said he did.

I just extrapolated the numbers presented in the OP (250 & 2/1) over the final 13 games and added those numbers to his current statistics.

He will be going against the worst defense in NFL. Yes, it would be better at home, but if you need a confidence builder, Denver's defense is it. Not saying it is easy, but it does not get easier than that in NFL. Zach needs to build on the momentum he started to gain, and playing against the absolute worst defense in the NFL is just what the doctor ordered.

Yes this is the type of game where Zach - and the whole team - can't afford a let up. For them it's a classic trap game. And of course that incudes especially Hackett and Saleh not playing conservatively.

Zach's career miraculously rejuvenated (who doesn't like an improbable feel good story?) and Jets miss playoffs (because too much playoff and Super Bowl money wagered on Jets during offseason Rodgersmania). Same thing happened to 2000 NY Jets who were 20-1 preseason to win Super Bowl and missed playoffs.
