In his last 5 games he’s throwing for 250+ 2.5 TDs and less than 1 int. The guy just has to be mediocre and we will be in almost every game.
the problem is that he wont get to play cuz Bagdad Bob will stick with "Zach is our best chance of winning" and the dumb Zach Truther will never have to face the truth because he will never see the field
He’s a very peculiar case as he was pretty much terrible at Northwestern and has been a better pro than college player. Proves sometimes having a rocket arm and a headband means less than having a brain to play the position.
I know I said we only need an average quarterback to win games...but...hmm... I barely remember when he played for us in '19... but I looked up his stats. 3 passes for 3 yards. Still gotta be better than Zack.
Siemian looked really rough in the preseason with Cincy He was never physically talented to begin with, I worry his skills have eroded.
I think this is Douglas spitefully trolling the fans and the media. As far as I'm concerned, he can do whatever he wants ... as long as he's fired at the end of the season if the team doesn't win 9 games.
If he can pass a physical we have upgraded our starting QB position. If he can help us beat the Broncos we are 2-4 coming out of the bye week. Let Zach take his lumps against KC (why get Simien injured?) and start Simien against Denver next week.
I suspect Sack will force Bob's hand in this. Things have been known to crater and when that happens, HC's usually go into self preservation mode. Baghdad Bob might run out of BS to gaslight the media with so he'll play Siemian or else go down with Sack.
This has the stink of they still plan to start Zach written all over it. Though at some point the benching will happen.
At a bare minimum we have a plan if Zach gets hurt. If Broadway Joe didn't call out Zach I don't think this signing would have happened.
