If the jets have/had the cap space, that would be the jets best move RIGHT NOW--RELEASE Zach Wilson. There is nothing that would energize the jets players more. If cutting RB Cook gives them the cap space, do it. Seriously, the sooner Zach Wilson is off this roster, out of the locker room , and in the jets rear-view mirror, the better.

Apparently the reports yesterday that Wentz and Ryan contacted the jets were false, and Ryan atleast had said he has no interest. We’re gonna have to trade and force someone to come in and risk life and limb behind this line.
What a shame. He had a chance to try that pretty pro-day throw the Jets org and most of this board fell in love with to the post.
I think the right move is to make a trade with SF to bring back Sam Darnold, after a session of mia culpas. He has always demonstrated ability to play with a full roster that has some talent. He is young enough to fit in with Jets players and has enough arm talent. Also, he will spare many fans from having to buy a new jersey. The Jets don’t really have any choice in whether Rodgers is on the roster or not. It’s his choice and his alone. That’s why I was trying to say it might not be a great thing for him to defer all that money if the Jets want to move on because they’re going to owe him money forever.
