Yes we are banking on those two. If they can stay healthy, they can definitely get the job done, and we'll have a very solid OL. If not, it could be trouble. Hopefully, we can add Peters or someone following TC cuts. Of course, I don't know who we'd cut to bring in another OL.

IF they can stay healthy then its a decent set of tackles I guess, but that’s a HUGE if…Brown is OLD and coming off injury, and Becton hasn’t played in two years due to injury.

As much as I like JD (and I like him a lot)…this tackle situation is 100% on him. Not on Saleh. JD has been here too long now after 3 drafts for us to be in such dire straits at the OT position.

I still think there’s a decent chance he brings in another body to help, but honestly this is the one area where I fault him for not addressing it adequately. He’s built up a strong roster from scratch pretty much everywhere else…

JD has picked the HC, used essentially 2 first rounders on QB and recruited all the players outside of Q - He owns whatever comes over the next season or two, be it in victory or defeat.

Nicely said. We get too worked up on the media flow of information.

Saleh is responsible for the players usage.

JD with the team personnel. The offensive like struggle is all on JD not Saleh.

Jets need to bring in a motivational speaker, like the Sham Wow guy. They're going to love his nuts.

I say there is plenty of talent on this team thanks to JD. I know the OL issues, mostly due to injuries. Let’s see how the season develops. I’m not throwing the baby out with the bath water because we have one area of concern, ie OT. If Brown can play we can be solid. There wasn’t a damned tackle on this years draft when was our turn to select with the first pick remotely ready to start this year, and not much in free agency also. And our entire defense in my opinion is lights out top five thanks to him. Not to mention RB, WR and TE. Great strength. It was thanks to all that that AR signed with us. He ain’t going no where soon. And rightfully so.

Let’s wait till the end of week 1 before we call it a struggle.

Meh. Mentioning 2 1st rd pick on QB seemed unnecessary

Good call. I keep seeing how the OL is all JD and how he's done nothing. The man has spent 2 1sts and a 2nd in his time on the OL. Signed a guard who was in the Pro Bowl the year before. Signed a multiple Pro Bowl LT once Becton went down.

Vera Tucker is a monster. Tippman looks like he's gonna be a monster. Becton vs Wirfs? Fine. I'm okay with that, but it's still LT vs RT. Becton could still be a monster if the knee holds up. Tomlinson was thought to fit into MLF's offense.

I'm not sure what everyone thought JD should do or didn't do. Teams don't stock 4 starting tackles on their team. If we can get these guys healthy and stay healthy we might see what he's been trying to build.

I think you have to trade Carter at this point.
If they were confident in him, they wouldn’t have acquired 4 more RBs in 2 years after drafting him.
    Can’t keep them all.

Even after trading Carter I’d think Knights chances at the 53 are still tenuous, especially if they keep 10OL (which I don’t think they should).

I think Bawden makes the team.
So between Malik, Brownlee, Gipson, Knight, Carter and Kuntz there might be only 1 roster spot to be had.
2 if they keep 9 OL.
3 if they put Cobb on PUP to start the year (I think they should).
