About Hack this was just an unprofessional (read dick) thing to say, even if true. About the Jets he is just wrong. We did get AR (did he think it would have been better to stick with Flacco at QB), but the second biggest signing was Lazard. This is not a dream team. So wrong and idiotic. Payton comes off looking like a complete fool with this. Hackett was a failure in Denver no doubt. But it’s classless to be calling him out like he did. Building a dream team is moronic. We got a QB because we ranked dead last in that position last year. Were we to sit back and do nothing. Majority of our top talent was drafted Sauce, AVT, GW, Quinnen, Breece. Nobody knew about DJ Reed until he balled out last year, maybe Seattle fans. And Jets didn’t ask to be on Hard Knocks we didn’t have a choice so again a dumb ass comment. Week 5 is going to be interesting as I don’t see Rodgers taking this lightly and defending his boy Hackett and wanting to bury them.

Payton apologizing for his comments only makes him look stupider in my opinion. Did he really not realize how bad these comments would make him look? He already revealed himself to be a douche and a jerk, and now he's tripled down on him being a moron.

Yeah, totally classless on his part. Sounds like he knows this season is going to be awful, and he's trying to blame it on Hackett.
I disagree. He either realized that he had made a huge mistake, and is apologizing for it, or he's the douche that most people think he is, but he's taken tremendous heat from the Broncos organization and the NFL, so he's trying to lessen the damage, and turn the heat down.
