Last pick in the round we can get the 4th best prospect

Of course the fourth best prospect may well turn out to be the best quarterback.

Not with a high pick we don’t unless something went terribly wrong…we’ll probably have another year of Rodgers and depending on how we do this year, I’d say get him a weapon, or an OL, or a stud defender, but I doubt we go QB any earlier than 4th round…

Sometimes you get lucky Unitas, Starr and Brady were all low draft choices.

Yes and the year after that and the year after that. Just not with a day 1 or 2 pick.

Depends on this season, but, I'm leaning yes to a mid-rounder.

No, I don't see the Jets drafting a QB. For one thing, in spite of what the fans think, the Jets still believe in Zach and haven't given up on him. For another, after trading for AR, they most likely won't have a 1st round pick, as the 2nd rounder they gave up will escalate to a 1st. They have a TON of FAs next year, and for certain need to address DT, LB and S, and could need to draft a LG if Tomlinson doesn't bounce back this year. If Becton can't stay healthy or doesn't struggles this season, they probably will need to draft an OT. They may also need to address the RB position if Carter doesn't bounce back from the sophomore slump and Knight doesn't look better than he did at the end of last season. The only reason they would even need to think about drafting a QB is if Rodgers retired following this season and Zach has shown zero progress/improvement by the end of the season.

Teams always trade away their top draft picks for a QB when they believe in the one they have....

A Montana in the third would work

Can you provide anything of substance to support the bolded? That may be what you think, or wish for, but that does not make it anything close to reality as seen by most here and most knowledgeable observers.

There was nothing hidden in my message. I meant it directly. If Wilson doesn't improve to be starter quality, then they maybe should draft a talented, raw project QB next year.

Yes, I agree. When the Jets draft developmental talent, they often forget about supporting the development part.
