The vedict is still out on them, but you have to admit they turned our team around. We were 2-14 when they took over. You may argue there was no where to go but up. Our Defense gave up 29.6 ppg their first year here and last year 18.6. That combined with the great drafting last year and we really got something going. We have gone from 2 wins to 4 to 7 and should be 10 or more next year. There is no way Rodgers decides to play for us if not for this turnaround. Thanks to their work we are going to be a playoff team next year and maybe if things go in our favor for once even have a chance at the superbowl
The verdict is not out on them as far as I am concerned. Joe Douglas and Robert Salah have transformed the prospects for this team and I firmly hope they both stay in post for many years to come.
They brought excitement back. They failed miserably in 2021 with Zach Wilson but last year was a great comeback from JD and Saleh with the defense and the draft.
I think no matter what, Saleh has to go down as one of the most impactful coaches in franchise history. He came in and changed the culture overnight, a seemingly impossible task considering the shitting mess this team was a year before his arrival (many more years than that really). JD has a bigger hurdle to clear. He had a hand in making us the disaster we were. I do think that he’s done just about as much as humanly possible to get us in contention now though. If we don’t win then you can’t blame it on the lack of effort, planning and strategy. That’s for sure. But man if we win a title, Saleh might as well be given part of the franchise’s ownership because he will be able to do no wrong ever again.
I disagree, they turned us from a laughing stock into a contender in just a few years. We are set for a very exciting season thanks to them.
Yeah thanks for the 20-46 record guys and drafting Zack Wilson and developing him into the a decent quarterback, and thanks for another great offseason guys, let me know when that translates into wins, because as usual its all hype and excitement now with alot of question marks. People kissing these guys feet for 4 years of straight mediocrity. This is appaling.
Some people are wildly missing the point and if it needs to be explained then it’s not worth having the convo.
I believe the Jets were 7-9 when JD took over. JD needs 26 straight wins to be a 500 win percentage gm. What I really do not get is the 1,2 million dollar cap hit this yr for Rodgers and 100 plus next yr. Seems to put even more pressure on a 1 yr super bowl push when we have not even made the playoffs yet. Yes the 100 million can be spread out but Rodgers is not walking away without it. With so many of our players coming back from injuries , a tough schedule ( 3 teams in the afc east can win at least 10 games ,plus also playing against the all time great coach ,along with the NFC east . Every win is going to be a challenge and a dog fight. Something does not add up. Maybe JD wants to get away from Woody
Thank you Joe Douglas for trading away our 1st and 2nd round picks and the stupid pick swap for the guy we will be paying 100 million+ in 2024 that no other team wanted to touch. And getting no one to protect him. You are the man!!! You sure fed up this offseason, if Jets miss the playoffs next year you will go down as one of the worst Gm's in Jets history if not the worst.
Thanks for what? Under their command, we went from being in last place, to being still in last place, it's sad the bar for this organization is set so low SMH
Let's win some games first before thanking him. The way it is looking right now Rodgers could be in the hospital with the protection he has upfront.
Yeah the Jets are by far the worst Run organization in New York if not all of sports and its not even close. The moves they keep making is baffling. It's like they love losing and pissing off the fanbase.
I remember people year 1 people freaking out about not resigning Robbie… “you don’t pay a mediocre receiver top dollar in the 1st year of a rebuild ie the tear down” ah good times
JD is going into this season riding Becton and Brown at OT with Mitchell backing them up. Yup. He did this last year and I was roundly shamed for criticizing it. But here we go again. It’s not that they’re bad, it’s that Brown is almost as old as Rodgers and Becton has this mild problem of not being available. Bold strategy.
