    1- Upgrade Run Defense...."Stop the RUN...." (DL & LB's) Faster & stronger

    2- Pass Rush

3- O-line....Upgrade....LG, RG, RT... More size & speed needed

    4- RB....More power & speed

    5- QB.....Strong arm & ability to scramble....Multi-Threat....to scare defenses

    6- WR.....With size, speed...stretches the field.....Deep Threat(2) needed

    7- CB...pass defense

    8- TE...Better run blocker

9- More speed on defense.....Get Vilma outta middle.....More speed at all LB's positions

    10- Punt Returner.....

SUMMATION : When these needs are met....Championship Looms...

I think this goes without saying for any team. Have you tried applying for any NFL managerial level positions yet?

I expect Tannenbaum and Mangini will "finish what they started" with both lines. A feature back is a top priority, but if you read between the lines in a lot of their statements, I can see them focusing on both the O and D lines and finishing that reconstruction. And they're not that far away from accomplishing that, so that's where I see us going in the draft... another "mundane, monotonous, vanilla" draft, but one that will make us a winner for years to come. I want us to build a D-line that collapses pockets. gets to the QB and stuffs the run and an O-line that pushes people off the LOS and opens up running lanes. We'll find a RB... no question... and we could use a CB... both probably through F/A, but I really expect Tangini to address the lines with the few picks we have.

"Show me a team with good linemen and I'll show you a championship team." (Don't know who said that... probably Vince Lombardi or someone... but if he didn't say it, he very well could have or should have).

You forgot "new punter, new kicker, new water boy"....I mean you listed just about everything that encompasses a football team. The better question based on your list is, what DON'T the Jets need.

Terrible list. Faster and stronger? Obviously every team in the league would LIKE faster and stronger players at every position.....

I believe some of the needs we could take care of this offseason are: passrushing OLB, every-down runningback, either a nose tackle or defensive end upgrade or a cornerback. We probably won't be able to take care of all those needs, but atleast three could be adressed this year.

I think Leon Washington stepped up very well as a punt returner so I would take 10 off.

I would definitely take 5 off. I don't understand the mentality of benching Chad at this point. Do you really want the team to be worse now for the chance it could be better in the future? I'll take success now, maybe not top 10 talent, but guarenteed stability with Chad. If Clemens shows something special, then he should take over but I don't think that wil happen next year.

I would also take off 6. The Jets do not need WRs right now. Coles and Cotchery aren't good enough for you? Gimme a break.

The football gods speak to Run_N_Gun10 through a burning effigy of Herman Edwards, telling him he must go to TGG and save the Jets from the shackles of poor team building.

Run_N_Gun10 goes to the Pharaoh Tangini and tells him to build his team...betterer. Tangini laughs and gives him a job application for NFL managerial level positions.

Seems like you just listed off every position. You have basically every spot on defence in there. As if we can fill all those areas in one season. And why do you need more speed at Rb? We got Leon Washington so you dont need to get a really fast guy.

So basically lets have the NFL hand us over the Pro-Bowl rosters in exchange for our own?
