Underwhelming for sure, but probably just depth and somebody familiar with Hackett and Rodgers. It'll be really bad if ZW can't outplay this guy for the backup job. I'd still like them to take a shot at a QB on Day 3

A zero % passer rating?! I never actually thought about whether that was possible. Kind of like when Vince Young scored a 4 on the Wonderlic. I went, wait, what, A FOUR?! Zero % passer rating, he'll fit right in with the "Jets Mystique". "Jets Mystique" sounds better than "Jets Mysterious Perpetual Suckage", I find. That reminds me of one of those weirdly named Catholic Churches you see around on occasion.

Tim Boyle is a BETTER QB than Zach Wilson. So I think the Jets signed him to be Rodgers backup. He knows Hacketts offense, he's a personal friend of Aaron, he can run Hacketts offense in the preseason when Aaron isn't around, and he's an objectively better QB than Zach. This was a good move for the Jets...
A warm body is better than Wilson so I guess yeah but he’s not good. We could of gotten someone with a little more exp and skill. Not complaining tho
Honestly this isn’t a good signing. I’m sure it’s because they want someone that knows the system that can at the very least run the offense in camp when Rodgers sits out or god forbid isn’t here yet, but we have no NFL QB on the roster outside of (presumably) Rodgers. This team is good enough that you need to have a viable backup so your season doesn’t end if your QB goes down.
They're not gonna pay Zach $35m to sit home and bang milfs.. JD has too much invested in him. Zach is here until his contract is up. He's not gonna be traded or cut no matter how badly he plays.
