Jets land Allen Lazard (4 years, $44mil, $22mil guaranteed)

Unfortunately for us he has us over a barrel as long as the Rodgers connection exists.

 

I feel like even if we sign all/most of these guys that Rodgers wants, it's not going to be to long-term deals.

Everybody and their mother knows that Rodgers has what? 2, 3 years tops? All of these contracts will mirror our "Rodgers Window", 2-3 year deals with outs after 1-2 season(s).

 

He may be "average" in respect to the entire NFL but he's above average compared to NYJ WR room over the last few years. He's also an excellent red-zone threat. Not sure of stats tho.

 

I'm not so sure you should believe everything you read on Twitter.

What better way to try and get some responses than to throw shit at the wall amd see what sticks?

 

That might change quickly if Rogers gets brought in. If he gets open he'll get the ball.

$11 mil a year is perfectly fine for Lazard and the $22 mil guaranteed is a win for the team.

Not much to pay for someone who is decent, not great but also played four years with our new QB and also knows the style our OC wants to play.

I don’t really see how he’s a better player than Davis? And if he is, Davis sucks anyways. It’s a wash, but I wouldn’t call this a win. This is an inflated number to continue to make sure Rodgers is comfortable coming here.
