That’s the only saving grace. There’s a deadline. At least you’d hope JD realizes there’s a deadline.
I'm past the point of being annoyed about Aaron Rodgers the Flaky Human Being and now I'm strapped in for the experience. I know I'll probably call him Favre about 30 times this year, purely by accident.
I agree with you there. He has the grand diva syndrome, not unlike the other GB QB we got for a year. But I’m not sure if he is fighting that battle, or basically agreeing with JD proposal to GB and standing on the sideline till is resolved. I do believe JD does not want to give the 13th this year, and next year is conditional. I’m thinking GB is playing hardball, and AR is thinking fuck them, we got the leverage.
I really hope you are right with this. Way too much movement with salaries to not get anything done here. Especially guaranteeing Tomlinson $23 next year when we could have cut him to save $13. Very odd maneuver if it's just for nothing.
Come on, it is a good cause, let's not blame him for that too. Just a bit more patience, I believe you can start changing your alias to BroadwayAaron by tomorrow. It could be he gave a green light already, and his agent is working on a restructure with JD. Shouldn't be long now before we know either way.
Sounds like framework of a deal is not necessarily fully done either. I would not be surprised JD is trying to get a really good trade for the Jets here, where it will be a lot less than some people think... If it happens.
so they gave him permission to talk with us, but we didn’t talk with them about starting the process of what it would take? Don’t believe that one bit lol
Moral of the story is the media doesn't know any more than we do, and we should stop paying attention to their clickbait until we hear something from the actual people involved.
I think at this point everyone is pretty much sold on the idea that we wont give up more than a 2nd and a condition future pick.
3 of the last 4 seasons GB went 13-3. But yeah GB did a terrible job building around him and his massive contracts. Getting stupid league leading receivers and top o-lines. Should have been more 16-0 seasons.
I fully expect Rodgers to announce his retirement during his speech at the psychedelic conference, concert, hippy convention, whatever it is.
