Are you on Drugs? HELL NO! I love the current old logo and jersey design. This is classic. It reminds me of Namath & Maynard (Even though I only see them on NFL Films and never saw them play). This is our history. Keep it as is. I love it.
Very true. That was the only time we ever used it. But the black was merely used to highlight the sleeve stripes and the numbers. I would never call black a 3rd color though. Not really.
Here's the difference between The 70's/80's and 90's version. i couldn't find a home jersey for the 90's version.
They made the green more bright and added black lines to the 90's uniforms. I like the early 80's style better than 90's style but I like our current ones minus green pants even more.
SI did a pole a few years back asking what team had the best unis. falcons and were two of the top, and the jets were one of the 2 teams to not recieve a vote. im up for a change
We must get rid of the stupid black cleats though, I've said it many times and I'll keep sayin' it. The white cleats and solid green socks on white pants the way Parcells brought 'em in 1998 are how we should be wearing our uniforms. I liked the longer stripe on the shoulder too. I hate changing uniforms...
The NFC owned the AFC in the 90s. I'd love to see us fitting into those old uniforms for a season opener or something like that. It would be great to finally see a competitive team playing in the all greens.
Well, almost the best. The jersey is a little shabby. The old starter mesh isn't as good as the Reebok mesh.
Yeah, it was just trim on the uniforms, but the periphial stuff you had like Jets sweatshirts, the stuff the coaches wore, etc, really used a lot of black. I'm glad it's gone.

Totally agree with the you. The "J" with the airplane tail over it was fantastic. I was able to get an old Al Toon green jersey and mini 80s helmet within the past two years and I just love them. Those were the best uniforms. Great post--I'm with you.
