He is desperately trying to hang on to his job by throwing incendiary criticism. He is at the lowest tier for analysts trying to be noticed.
more like the green & yellow of the Oregon Ducks, but it'll probably end in disaster just the same....
he didn’t want to but he still decided to lol and didn’t want to go do Arz because of the midget playing QB there ouch
I don't look at rumors or even what people say, I look at what people do. And Payton took the Broncos job, so he can't hate Wilson that much (or the rumor is bullshit).
I hope he wasn't brought in to lure Rodgers. The Broncos did it and then mortgaged multiple high draft picks for Russ.
This story tells a totally different view of the situation: Denver Broncos HC Sean Payton Reminds NFL World Who Russell Wilson is - Sports Illustrated Mile High Huddle: Denver Broncos News, Analysis and More Here's the subhead: "Sean Payton detailed his plan to resurrect Russell Wilson's career in Denver" “I think the No. 1 job for us as coaches in evaluating our players [is deciding] what are the things that they do really well," Payton said. "Then, let’s try to put them in those positions. At least that’s the starting point, and I think that it is important to highlight their strengths and minimize maybe any weaknesses." I'm going with Payton's own words here directly quoted in the SI piece, not third hand speculation in a tweet. And a key paragraph from within the article "And most frustrating of all was the coaching staff's obliviousness in the face of negative results. At no point, while Nathaniel Hackett was still in the building, was there any presence of mind to recognize what was working, and implement more of it, or recognition of what wasn't, and steer clear of it." That's certainly no endorsement of Hackett's approach which smells very much like the reason LaFleur is gone.
That last part is one of my biggest issues with the Hackett hire…we hired a guy who literally had the same issue as the guy we fired…only the Jets
They gave him a good defense, one of the best QBs in the game and an owner with the deepest pockets in professional sports. And he was such a disaster he didn’t last the season
i'm not huge on the hire, but sometimes someone can be a good coordinator and bad HC. like bowles. was a disaster as a HC here and in TB this year but is a good DC.
Sean Payton discussing replacing the Nathaniel Hackett in Denver “I don’t anticipate the crowd having to count down the 30-second clock”
