Congratulations on 22 years. I found this site back in 2010 the olden days when the Jets were vying for a play-off run. Thank you for creating this great forum and giving us Jets fans a place to commiserate and celebrate our beloved New York Jets.
June 8th 2003. Congrats on all the years! Like most of us here I came across tgg looking for jets news and stuff online. Not much of a contributer, love to read all the content! My only source for real jets news and rumors!
Congratulations, this is an excellent site. I've been here a long time and get most of my Jets info here (news, tweets, forum) although I only post periodically. 22 years is a great run. Many more.
I have very fond memories of this site and forum and up until this point had assumed I was the only Jets fan in the UK . Thank you very much for doing what you do and starting up this website , it’s brought a lot of like mined fools together . Who would have thought that rebuild after rebuild we would still find ourselves without a second SB win, we came so so close with Rex but sadly no cigar. I feel with the current set up of Douglas and Salah we have the right formula but as in most cases there will be highs and lows, it’s the lows that scare me as our increasingly frustrated fanbase calls for constant change. We need to stick with this plan and give it a fair go. RIP to those posters that I used to I know on here that aren’t with us anymore.
Hey Byz! TGG came up in conversation on Twitter the other day and got me thinking.. Just scrolling around and it’s nice to still see so many familiar faces . It’s crazy how much water has gone under the bridge since Petro started TGG, the lack of success is astounding, but yet here we all still are, fools !
Shit.. Just now seeing this thread. I'm blind. I love this forum. It's been a long ride. I've engaged In a lot of awesome debates with a lot of awesome people on this forum. After however long I've been here now, 16-17 years, I still don't know everybody. Which always keeps things interesting. Then, there are the OG's, there's the super active, the awesome trolls, the shitty ones.. so forth, etc... I appreciate so many of you, fuck this team (kidding, kind of), GO JETS!! We will eventually get there again, right? RIGHT!!??
I update the thread title every year. So we are still 22 years old. We have 2.5 years to go for Silver Anniversary.
Whoa ! 22 years ago ? it´s been a long time. I remember a lot of things, I just came to say hello. Cheers guys !
It only took me 2 years to see this post. Thanks Petrozza and crew for keeping TGG going! Prior to finding TGG, I was posting on Jets newsgroups (Usenet for the folks who remember it). When I got back from deployment in 2005, I had to get surgery and found TGG when I was stuck in a recliner for 6 weeks. I remember being doped up on painkillers and just reading thread after thread to pass the time. Almost 18 years later, this is probably the only website I visit everyday. I never met anyone from here in person, but I feel like I know most of you from reading your posts for nearly two decades. As the saying goes, misery loves company, and that's a common bond that us Jets fans share. Cheers guys!
I lurked for a long while before joining. Speaking as a non-American (near London, England) this site is an invaluable source of information. It is great to see what local fans think and exchange content with real people rather than just consume media. It is a very good insight into your culture and how sports is consumed. I share my fellow UK National, Gustoonarmy's, view posted above that constant calls for change are what I like the least. But maybe that's just our cultural background taking over Congratulations on 22 years. I wish TGG every success going forwards. Keep doing what you're doing as it is a great read. And to my fellow posters, trust in Joe D and Coach Salah to bring the VLT here. Keep the faith.
Hi all I think I joined the year my first son was born, now he's 18. I was mainly here for the fun of the BS forum, and only really jumped into the main section when an Aussie punter was discussed. It's been a long time since I logged in, great to see this community is still kicking on Syd
