The only good thing about this situation is that this is probably the best spot Zach could come back for. Detroit is one of the worst defenses against the pass this year. Only thing that matters is getting a W on Sunday. Hopefully Zach is up to the task. We'll see.
This is what we all knew deep down and feared about Mike White. He can spin the ball for sure and is as cerebral as they come, but he will likely always be injured. Zach is 5-2 as a starter though and we have a chance at the playoffs still. What if Zach underwhelms but leads the Jets to wins over the Lions and the Jags? Say Mike is ready for the Seahawks game....Thats when things get interesting
Who's booing? I hope Zach Wilson lights It up. ..but honest though. Who here actually thinks that's going to happen? It's okay to have an initial gut check after what we've seen from Zach Wilson... Where we stand In regards to our playoff hopes... Who feels good about a MUST WIN game after our QB was just benched because he needed a RESET...??? However. Grow a fucking pair, root for our QB come Sunday, and root for this young man to put It all together after this reset. It's an opportunity, It's a big boy position to be In, we are about to see Zach Wilsons best shot. ..and I'm absolutely going to root for this kid to be the guy. He needs to be a competent QB this week, we need this win, LETS GO JETS. LETS GO ZACH!!
He will be out next week too. Short week, too easy for them to keep him out. I don’t think this was a medical decision, I think that front office is pushing their weight around
Well that's a kick in the you know where... He is 5-2 as a starter so they have been able to win games and against some good teams with him. So all hope is not lost. They can/should definitely win this game. It's a major opportunity for Zach to get back on track and can only hope the experiences since the NE game have had a big impact on him. Not that this will be the decisive game for his entire career, but a strong showing or a bad showing will be very consequential for him. Going to be a really, really interesting next few weeks for the QB position. Can we make Streveler the backup though?
pre-draft i declared that i thought Fileds OR Zach were solid choices. If we had Fields we'd be hoping he runs for 125+ As it is... I think Zach has the wheels to run a significant chunk more than he does- as in he shold be logging 35-50 yds/game
Welcome back, Zach! If any posters remember, I penciled in the Lions game as his likely return when he was benched. Of course, I did not expect it to be like this! Hopefully he shows he is capable of being the Jets QB1 and he regains his teammates' confidence and faith in him. Sunday should be very exciting! As for Mike White, hopefully he gets cleared as soon as possible. Best case scenario Zach proves he should be the starter and keeps the job, but if not, I believe in Mike White too.
Time for Zach to put up or shut-up. This is a huge game for the rest of his career. The lion's pass defense is just not that good and Zach needs to play well and put up respectable numbers.
If Zach wins with an underwhelming performance and Mike is cleared for the following game - what do we do ?????
