Guess that means that Chiefs fans can write off their second day picks and some first day picks for the foreseeable future.

Once you start getting first downs, you then have to think of three more plays. Then it really gets complicated.

So you have an OC that is brand new, and no matter what scheme you put in he's going to run it? I mean, is that a good idea? Seems to me you would want him running something he's comfortable with and knows inside and out. Maybe I'm wrong though...

Yes, it was all those incredibly complex runs into the middle of the line of scrimmage that led to the pathetic Colts run D holding LJ to 32 yards rushing.

Herm seems to be on an accelerated path out of KC compared to here.

ha! I love Herm! Wonder if he's going to abandon the playbook and tell LJ, "Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way turn."

Wow, that article is surreal. This is the kind of BS posturing that we heard from Herm every offseason and then once TC rolled around it was back to business as usual. If this was most any other coach I'd assume he was speaking in generalities, not wanting to be too specific or give anything away, but this is Herm.

I can just picture him and Solari in a meeting, with Herm saying "“I just know it has to be player-friendly,” Edwards said. “It has to be something that young players at all positions can play. I want to give the quarterback even more ability to change some things at the line of scrimmage. I want him to have the ability to get to anything we have right now." and thinking his job is done.

?Mike?s the guy. He?s going to be a heck of an offensive coordinator. Next year will be a lot different for him. I was so much better my second year as a head coach. He?ll gain more confidence. He knows me better now. Mike had to learn the passing game. You don?t learn that in a year unless you?re a coordinator. He was an offensive-line coach. That?s something he had to go through.?

Oh does this crack me up. I almost miss the humor. Didn't we drop the first four or five in his second year with us after he was so much better in his second year. How bad were we getting tattoo'd in those games.

How long before he kill LJ by running him into the ground? How long before he throws Trent Green under the bus?

Hilarious thread in response to this from chiefsplanet. One of my favorite posts...

"Would it be possible to replace Hall with Colquitt on Kick-offs? Colquitt could field the kick-off, then immediately punt."

Damn do I feel bad for those guys, remember the years of blaming Hackett for all that nonsense?

This reply on Herm's clock management skills is funny too:

In the Playoff game Saturday night, the Chiefs received the ball with approximately ten minutes left and we were down by two scores. By huddling up and taking our time getting to the huddle, we ran eight plays and ran nearly FOUR MINUTES off the clock. Eliminating the huddle would have left at least two more minutes off the clock....leaving plenty of time for the Colts to score again, likely putting us down by three scores.

    It's simple clock management...

It's disgusting how Herm is simply ruining franchises. I feel bad for Chiefs fans. I really do. They haven't done anything to deserve this.

I'm not too sympathetic toward KC fans, mainly because a few were such dicks over the past couple of years. Remember that troll CHEIFSDESTROYALL? And yes, he really did fuck up spelling "Chiefs".

My take was that Croyle will be their QB next year. Huard is a FA and Green is 2000 years old. Simplifing the playbook is standard for a new young QB.
