    Forget New England our defense should look something like Baltimore's in the next few years.We already have key players who resemble players on the Ravens

    Kerry Rhodes-Ed Reed
    Jonathan Vilma-Ray Lewis
    Victor Hobson-Bart Scott
    Bryan Thomas-Adalius Thomas

    Now im not saying that those players are on the same talent level, im just saying the Ravens dont really run a true 3-4, they sometimes do run a 4-3 with Lewis,Scott,Thomas as the linebackers and have Gregg,Pryce,Suggs and Ngata on the line.Suggs then moves to OLB in the 3-4. All 4 of the ravens linebackers played at a pro-bowl level which is rarity.Our players to me most resemble the ravens more than the patriots as u see them rarely run 4-3's anymore.As soon as we get another linebacker/end like suggs who can be dominant in both of the defenses and also another lineman to go along with D-rob,and ellis we will start to look like the Ravens defense.

    Those are pretty lofty comparisons, but even if you did make them you're still forgetting they have 2 shut down corners. Having such a good secondary makes it easier for the defense to apply pressure since the qb is finding it hard to find guys who are open.

    Until we get 2 good cover guys and add a dominant dline we won't look anything like the NE or BAL's defense.

    We also need to find a replacement for our "bart scott" asap. He just looks slow to me out there, and I think another guy in his position could put up plenty of numbers....

    Without a true nose tackle, this thread is a fantasy.

    Andre Dyson is a pretty good #1 getting Asante Samuel should be a top priority in the off-season, with that our corners match up pretty good with theirs.

    WHAT ARE YOU LIVING IN FANTASY LAND?!?!?!

    the only reason why our team looked so good on defense is because the schedule made it so look at our last 4 regular season games!!!!

    Minnesota cant move the ball to save their life
    Dolphins same thing harrington is horrible and it was raining hard!!!
    Oakland Mister bed and breakfast was calling the plays for them!!!
    Buffalo Holy crap we couldnt stop JP LOSMAN!!!! WE LET THEM SCORE 24 points on offense!!!!!!!! EXPLAIN THAT ONE PLEASE!!!!

    I don't want Bryan Thomas to resemble Adalius Thomas... I want Adalius Thomas in Green and freakin' White.

    If your defense is to resemble the Ravens, than ours is an exact duplicate of the Bears D.

    Fletcher=Urlacher
    Briggs= Spikes
    Crowell = Hillenmeyer

    See how easy it is to make comparisons??? Makings comparisons while making sense is the hard part!:wink:

    I completely agree with the Hobson assessment. I love his aggressiveness and toughness but he is definately slow to make plays. All of his sacks (except for the one in the 2nd NE game) were "coverage sacks" where he had about 8 seconds to get there. I want a pass rusher for this D that can consistantly crash the pocket and wreak havoc all day, not just one play a game.

    This is the problem when people dont READ(not talking to everyone in the thread) Im not saying that we as good as the Baltimore ravens im saying our defense the 3-4 defense will more likely resemble the Ravens 3-4 than the patriots 3-4.
    Ofcourse we are not as good as the ravens d we would have one alot more games and would have handled new england yesterday.
