Brady. Just a one year deal with a fat incentive for a SB appearance. But if we're talking about reality, then, yeah, Minshew makes the most sense. His stat line is pretty incredible, and it's clear that he deserves/wants a shot. Sure, he'll never be a hero, but the Jets don't need that. They just need a QB who won't be the villain. Happy Thanksgiving, all.
I’m just gonna place this here to come back to in the off-season. I would not be surprised at all if Daniel Jones is a real option for us, and not very costly either.
Garoppolo is the best fit, so if he isn't too expensive, he's the best choice. If he is too expensive, then snag Minshew.
Yeah and he already knows the offense, and has a connection to Saleh and Mlf so he would actually want to come here.
In no particular order: 1) Minshew - for cost considerations and gamer attitude 2) Garapolo - for skillset and that winning smile 3) Carr - for tenaciousness and locker room presence
I'd want Minshew Mania for the pricetag and entertainment, but still try to develop Zach and draft a (possibly mobile) QB in the 2023 mid rounds.
It wasn’t very long ago that the Jets were a train wreck as a team. They were terrible in key areas such as the OL, CB, TE. Etc…Joe Douglas has been a pretty solid GM. Our team is progressing rather nicely. The defense has been phenomenal. The ST and coaching has been getting better everyday. However, mistakes have been made most notably at the QB position. I think Joe Douglas and Coach Saleh truly are realizing that Zack is not the guy to lead this team on all levels. His mechanics are off, his attitude needs adjusting and he clearly is holding the team back. I for one am ok with The Jets getting a second chance in getting a QB. I believe the front office has earned it. However, I believe you go after Garoppolo hard this off season. He has worked with Saleh and MLF in the past with SF. This is a passing league and you need a QB or you will not go anywhere. You need to know when to cut your losses just like the Colts did with Wentz after a year. The Jets need to cut cut ties with Wilson and move on.
Unless a QB drops on the draft, I see these as our QB options next year. Option A: Some young unproven gunslinger Option B: A career back up (prove that anyone can run this offense) Option C: A SB winning seasoned vet who can utilize our weapons Option D: A “winner” someone who’s found success somewhere else (see Warren Moon)
Brady would never come to the Jets, it would be like Chipper Jones going to the Mets. And hes to old we need someone for the next 3-5 years. Get grappolo he knows Mlf and Saleh and it would be fun as hell to see him kill Bellichek twice a year and prove BB wrong
Brady wants to win. The Jets are on the brink of greatness just one ingredient missing. How sweet would it be to roll into Foxboro with the GOAT in Jets green.
Not enough. I would never want to join forces with my mortal enemy. Brady and the Patriots are one and the same.
You know I hated Clemens when he was a Red Sock but, once he put on the pinstripes I rooted for him with gusto. Brady is an ass but, if he's on our team throwing bombs to Wilson and Mims I could sure get used to that.
