I will say I think Saleh is handling this well… sad to see as he’s a talented guy and I do also agree that he’s not being used best for his skill sets…why we send him so deep so often is not clear, I’d use him on more short routes and quick hitters. but regardless, hopefully this gets fixed…it’s tough when you have a bunch of mouths to feed…2 new TEs, 2 starting quality RBs, 4 receiver ps who can each legitimately say they should get more targets or touches in Davis, Moore, GE and Berrios…lots of targets I think he was selfish in doing what he did especially on a team that hasn’t won in years and is now winning…no other way to see it…not saying his frustrations aren’t real but he handles it absolutely wrong. I like benching him…shut the fuck up and play ball.
Between the Sauce tweet and Breece liking Damien Woody’s tweet, Moore burned his bridges with the team. Barring a sincere apology from Moore to the team, I think he’s gone by next week.
Irrespective of his desire, wants, etc. The coaches decision to NOT play him was the right choice. We have all wanted accountability and my thought, regardless of the coach's comments, is that it sends a message to all players on the team about the cluture they are trying to build. This is a distraction that can affect the team chemistry that is in its embronic stages so it needs to be fixed one way or the other. Just as the HC comments about taking reciepts galvanised the team, this can fracture it if not addressed adequately...esp. with the NY media.
In order to demand a trade you have to actually be worth something. Moore has very little trade value. For all the quickness in his videos in pads, the moment he puts pads on he looks like he’s carrying a piano. Maybe the pads are too heavy for his little frame lol. Kid can take a hike as far as I’m concerned, he’s done absolutely nothing in the NFL and he’s demanding a trade…. Bitch please.
He’s not good enough to be a distraction. Pretty much every player in the NFL is looking at him like he’s a little bitch.
After ruminating on this for the last day, I wouldn't at all be surprised if Douglas deals Moore. The Jets GM has been so outspoken about building a culture of players with strong character who committed to being team players. If the right trade offer comes through I bet Moore is gone by November 1 if not sooner.
Yeah interesting, but I like how Saleh handled it…stay home for a week and see how that suits you if you trade every player at their say so then how long before everyone starts bitching at every little, thing. you don’t want a malcontent but you also can’t reward bad behavior. sitting him is great…
He just had a major blow-up with your head coach's little brother. I doubt Green Bay has any interest in getting into that mess.
I bet Elijah was PISSED when the Jets came back and beat the Browns. Touchdown by Corey Davis and then a game winning touchdown by Garrett Wilson? Terrible. Should have thrown it to #8! Jets win vs the Steelers? Awful. Touchdown passes to ZACH WILSON?!?! and Corey Davis? Come on! #8 was open all day! Jets win vs the Dolphins? Good grief. Stop giving the ball to Michael Carter and Breece Hall. They can't cover #8. This is ridiculous. And why did Zach run in that TD? #8 could have caught a jump ball! Jets win vs Packers? Hated it. Running the ball all day? Blocking punts for touchdowns? All while #8 is running all alone, wide open every play? Won by 17 but definitely felt like a loss.
FACTS: EM has been targeted on only 13% of his routes, which ranks 78th out of 81 qualified WRs. He’s a natural for the slot, but they continue to use him outside. (Per Cimini) There's blame all around here.
A restructure is a paycut in many cases. BB was famous for restructuring his vets under the last CBA. This is a perfect example: https://www.providencejournal.com/s...tructures-his-deal-with-patriots/21352085007/
Might have been mentioned here but Moore deleted his "I love my teammates" tweet. Yep. He's a douche.
The Brandon Marshall interview really gave you all you need to know. He said he just spoke with Elijah Moore, supports him and then immediately offered a criticism of Zach Wilson you can tell easily that Moore was very critical of Wilson, but Marshall didn’t want to make his friend look too bad so criticized Wilson on something small, letting the viewers read the tea leaves
Brandon Marshall should keep his nose out of this drama. Trading Moore would not be the worst thing for this team. A year ago it might have been a different story.
Like all such deals, the "pay cut" reduces the current payout but extends it into the future. there is no lost money. But suppose it was an actual pay cut of millions. Imagine, amendola liked winning so much he was willing to take multi million less. Boy, playing for that team must be great!!!! Imagine the culture!!!! Corporate america take notice.
The crazy part is Zach Wilson handled it totally right in his press conference. Brandon Marshall clearly did not watch Zach, but instead just wanted to support Elijah. Why? I have no idea. It is interesting Moore has Brandon Marshall and AJ Brown in his ear giving him terrible advice. Just adds fuel to the fire. Unfortunate.
