We decided to revive BS Forum right? Enough with the stupid political threads. Let's do a little BS. Remember your childhooed/teenage years? Hormones are running fast in your blood. You hate the world, you think you are better than everybody else What was your dream back then and did you achieve it? Mine was simple. Being born to a poor family in Turkey, my goal was to be able to own a Mercedes one day. I did it around 15 years ago. And then I told myself what a stupid dream. I sold it after 2 years, got myself a Honda and still driving it. After 13 years, my Honda is still running strong. So what was your childhood dream and did you achieve it? if so, what was it?
Mine was to marry my high school girlfriend. It took 35 years and a divorce, but I finally married her last December. Happiest I've ever been.
Always wanted to drive a Locomotive. Yep, drive a train. P***y was always easy to come by. Going to a co-ed catholic HS had its advantages...
I wanted to be Indiana Jones when I was a kid. I was on a recon team in Iraq in 2003, and we got to see a lot of super ancient stuff that was booby trapped. So, kinda? Mostly not.
As a kid I really enjoyed the TV show Petrocelli and thought yep I'll become an attorney. Pretty big ask for a working class kid from my home town. Turned out I did not get the grades to study law and never learnt to build my own house either ¯\_ʘ‿ʘ_/¯
Like many kids in New York, I wanted to play shortstop for the Mets. Buddy Harrelson was my hero. Two blown knees later, the dream was just wisps of smoke. Twenty years later I joined the Mariners organization and spent 3 seasons as a coach/instructor for the Rookie League team. That was as close as i got, but to be back "in the game" after all that time was awesome. Alas, another 25 years has passed since then.
