Big props to Zurlein for nailing that 57 yard field goal and acing the on side kick. Nice comeback after last week.
I went over to a mates to watch the rest of the game - what a crazy ending - the Browns sure went to sleep at the end of that game
Not to mention Flacco, the OL, LaFleur and Saleh. So much heat after week one. It’s one game but I’m pleased for them.
"Cade, we didn't need that one. If you had to miss it, that was a good time to do it." lololol. This is really entertaining: https://www.dawgtalkers.net/ubbthreads.php/topics/1970489/17
Took our daughter to see Wicked today. Thrilled with the decision after last week. Thrilled with the decision at intermission. Show ended and I had 52 texts. Can’t wait to rewatch this one but it looks like Garrett Wilson is the real deal which everyone other than MLF knew last week.
All this victory means to me is that it's now mathematically impossible for the Jets to go 0-17 in 2022. (And that our rookie class is damned good!)
Honestly, all thing considered, the Jets were successful in every phase... offense, defense, ST. I can't even remember the last time that happened.....
NFL.com-- Next Gen stat of the game: The Jets had a 0.3% win probability following Nick Chubb's 12-yard touchdown run with 1:55 remaining in regulation.
We’ll I had to run some errands and came back to watch from the 2nd quarter on DVR later and man I can’t believe it. they showed grit I’ll give ‘em that. A few early thoughts - the Refs were beyond horrible and very one sided…we were being held a lot and not one call - Garett Wilson will be a stud…I always say great players show it pretty quick and we can already see he’s a difference maker - OL played much better today than last week and it showed - impressed that they never quit….we got a gift on that Davis bomb but man it was nice to see - our defense still can’t make stops when needed…we finally got a pick and made enough plays to win but man it’d be nice to force some three and outs once in a while - our rookie RT had some issues but most do against Myles and he may develop - our RBs look good - rookies made some mistakes but overall they look like they will be good - mostly I just love the heart they showed
That missed XP and Browns losing J Clowney hurt the Browns. But I also want to give a shot out to B Mann for a perfect pass on a Punt Fake that really gave us life on offense and really good onside kick that would help seal the deal This game was bonkers. Next Gen Stats: Trailing 30-17 with less 1:55 on the clock, the Jets had a 0.3% chance of winning after Nick Chubb's 12-yd TD run. The Jets late-game comeback goes down as the most improbable of the Next Gen Stats era (since 2016) based on the NGS win probability model.
Per Cimini: From week 9 of 2001 through week one of 2022, teams had lost 2,229 consecutive games when trailing by at least 13 points in the final two minutes. Until today. Our Jets!!
more than 2200 NFL games where what just happened didnt "From Week 9 of 2002 (the week after the Browns' collapse against the Bears) to Week 1 of the current season, teams had lost 2,229 consecutive games when trailing by at least 13 points in the final two minutes." btw, they had the game but went for a TD that bit them in the arse. coulda run out the clock on a 7 pt W
Well I didn't get to watch, too many other chores I had to deal with. I wish I had a means of watching a replay, but if me not watching had any bearing on them winning, I'll gladly not watch the rest of the games. It occurs to me that this win echoes the famous "Heidi Bowl" loss over 50 years ago. Maybe it's a sign that the "Curse" has finally been broken.
