I don't attend every game these days. But I'm going Sunday, and the Zach Wilson developments this week have dampened my enthusiasm. Weird thing is, I expected Flacco to be starting for the past month, so why am I bummed this week? Instead of being excited to see our new young talent, I'm getting too much "Same Old Jets" vibe, which I hate. Usually I dispel those notions in others. Talk me down from the ledge. PLEASE.
Yeah I think Mitchell is the way to go and move Fant to LT. The below article notes that McDermott gave up 4 sacks in 80 pass blocking reps last year while Mitchell to his credit gave up none in 82 pass blocking reps this pre-season. Overall Mitchell got pretty good reviews from pre-season. Stay positive, with an eye on Sauce, Wilson, Hall, Clemons, JJ, Carter and Carter, Q, Lawson, monitor progress on the OL, the return of the TEs, strong special teams, the resurgence of Davis, the passion of Berrios, much to look forward to. In anticipation of this Sundays game, which I’m much looking forward to, as a warm up, I’m heading to the Rams Buffalo game to root for the Rams, wearing my Jets/ Rams T shirt. May my voodoo powers prevail.
I expect this to be a good game. Defense will come out swinging and if the CS allows there will be some reputation building knock downs. Some chicklets gonna get rattled. Joe and the offense will find their feet late in the game. VICTORY I SAY!!!
