What scheme? Mark Brown is a versatile backup. But he is just that: a backup. There is no rush to signing him. It isn't like he is drawing league-wide attention from DCs.
Yeah, he would be cheap and he's a decent backup player. I don't see any reason to let him go... it won't save money.
They will most likely re-sign Brown and Wright soon, if they are not in talks already. I would think anyway.
